I don’t know if it’s because my chicken and brown rice for lunch today is making me crave something incredibly fattening or maybe I can’t get the thought of how much of this trifle I actually ate on Sunday out of my head. Either way, I think the thought of this dessert should torture you a little bit too. I mean that’s only fair, right? And perhaps you should go make one and then think of me, and by think of me I mean invite me over for dinner and share with me. Please?
Strawberry Trifle
1 angel food cake
1 8 oz container of sour cream
1 12 oz. container of Cool Whip
1 small can of evaporated milk
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. powdered sugar
2 pkg Birds Eye frozen strawberries
1 can strawberry pie filling
Mix sour cream, Cool Whip, Pet milk and powdered sugar. Pinch cake into small pieces and add to mixture. Pour into trifle bowl. Add strawberries, then pie filling. Do not stir. Refrigerate and serve cold.
And don’t let the sour cream throw you off, it’s really worth making!
