By now I think it’s safe to say you all know how I feel about teething. It’s the only thing that can turn my normally content baby girl’s sweet-nature around. She becomes clingy, she doesn’t sleep at night, and nothing makes her happy.
But can you blame her? I can’t imagine how painful teething must be on her little gums, and she just don’t understand why it’s hurting so much. To sum it up, teething is awful. I’ve written before about the many routes we’ve taken when it comes to teething and nothing ever seemed to give her the relief I was looking to find.
Then I received the Baby Orajel Naturals Teething Tablets in the mail right in the middle of her cutting her top molars, and suddenly she found some relief.
The quick-dissolve tablets were a life saver, and she began to immediately get some relief from those pesky molars. And by quick I mean, the tablets feature a quick-dissolve rate of less than 10 seconds. Moms of toddlers and teething babies alike know how important that quick- dissolve feature becomes when you have an agitated baby who just needs some relief.
Of course, I left some in the medicine cabinet and went ahead and put a bottle in the diaper bag, too.
The best part? Is that word Natural in the name. We live in a society of constant recalls on baby products so I have peace of mind knowing that this product is natural and safe for Braylen. Orajel is a name we’ve trusted in the past, and I was so happy to see that Baby Orajel Naturals product, the first homeopathic offering from our favorite teething brand, Orajel.
The product uses Chamomilla as one of its key ingredients, and they are belladonna-free, benzocaine-free, alcohol-free and paraben-free. And let’s face it, words of ingredients that we can’t pronounce or don’t recognize certainly don’t belong in our babies mouths.
I know for me, teething has been one of the biggest obstacles to overcome as a new parent. From the very beginning up until now, teething has been the one thing that can total knock us right back to sleepless nights and rocking chairs.
Thankfully, as rough as teething can be there are so many good moments that outweigh the tough ones, there are so many fun firsts that make the tougher ones seem obsolete, and with Orajel’s help you can sail right through one of the toughest times.
A happy, smiling baby even in the midst of teething. |

My favorite thing about being a new mom was definitely newborn cuddles, but my second favorite is belly laughs. Taylor has started something new lately, which is giving kisses. There is just so much to love about being a mom, but teething has definitely been a struggle for us since getting rid of the pacifier!

My favorite moment is bathtime. From birth to about 7 months old Sadie hated the bath tub. It terrified her… And we tried everything, the only way she could get wet without screaming was if we gave her a sponge bath… Once she was mobile we had to bath her almost everyday because she would get so dirty. It took us about a week of 1 hour long sessions of getting her into the bath tub, now she screams if we get her out too early. Definitely a triumph for us, but its just so fun to watch her play, splash and babble (and smell the best ever coming out of the tub!)

I have six kids. Each one is so different, but my favorite “new mom” moment with each one has to be when they look into my eyes, for the first time, and know that I am their mom. There is a look of contentment on their face, a knowing, they are at peace, and I am at peace. It is a quiet moment that know one else knows but the two of us as we look into each others eyes.

I don’t have human kids but do have 7 cat fur babies! LOL One of my favorite memories with some of my cats is bottle feeding. They would get SO excited and just crazy during feedings if the bottle slipped out of their mouths or their suction caused a vacuum to form and the milk to stop coming out. They would just flail their little hands and beat the bottle until I fixed the problem. SO cute!!!!

I love when he puts his little head on my shoulder, and no matter how scared of frustrated i might be, he gives me peace that i can not describe. I love when he puts his little hand on mine when i worry, like he wants to say “momma, it will be ok”. I love when i find him standing in his crib, trying to pull himself up, looking at the door and hiding his smile behind the paci in his mouth ๐ Im a first time mom, and im scared to death on how im doing, or the mistakes im making – cause i know i learn as he grows, so i only pray that i make as less mistakes as possible, and that when i do make them, he forgives me, cause im learning too. I love every single moment that i spend with my baby, and each and every one is precious and exceptional.
