You know that burlap banner that I made for the party this past weekend? Well, I had a few people ask how it was made and I promised a friend of mine I would show her so I have pictures of the how-to process. It’s easy, really easy. No sewing or gluing or anything else that would add an extra degree of difficulty. So easy, you can make one in 5 simple steps.
1. Make a template by folding a piece of cardstock evenly on both sides so that it makes a triangle.
2. Trace the desired number of triangles onto a piece of burlap.
3. Cut out each triangle.
4. Add letters. You can free-hand or purchase from the scrapbook section at your local craft store or you can stencil. I chose to stencil.
5. Connect the banner by adding ribbon. I didn’t make holes in the burlap, I simple threaded the ribbon through the small holes in the burlap. Just twist the end tightly and it should pull right through.
And it’s ready to hang…
