I feel like sometimes Judson gets a little left behind in the toy department, we have so many great interactive and educational toys from when Braylen was younger, that I forget to check and see what other great options are on the market. So I was super excited to be able to review The Touch & Learn Activity Desk™ Deluxe by VTech®. I have always been a huge fan of sneaking in educational time during playtime, and this desk is a great example of how that can work well. Judson played at this desk for a long time and it did an excellent job keeping his attention, something that often proves to be a difficult task.  IMG_9780

The Touch & Learn Activity Desk™ Deluxe by VTech®comes with five separate activity pages to explore, each page focuses on engaging content for learning letters, numbers, colors, shapes, music and more! Plus, there are great expansion packs that you can order separate for even more fun and education. The expansion packs are reasonably priced at $9.99, and come in a variety of fun options. One of my favorite things about The Touch & Learn Activity Desk™ Deluxe by VTech®is how easy it transforms from a desk into an easel and chalkboard with plenty of storage space for art supplies to encourage play and discovery. There are plenty of compartments for storing art supplies, you can add crayons and chalk, keep paper in the tray, erasers and all the tools you need while playing at the desk, this is a great way to encourage organizational skills. It’s a great all-in-one toy.

IMG_9775 The desk features an LED display that illustrates letter and number stroke order and how to draw basic shapes. After watching a few times, Judson was trying to mimic the strokes on the screen. There is an element of pretend play, too! It includes a toy telephone and gives them the feel of a real desk, while they are on their phone. The music player includes fun tunes to listen while you learn.

I think this would make a great Christmas or birthday present for any toddler and would provide years of interactive learning. The expansion packs extend the life and give children a full array of curriculum. You can pick it up at most major retailers and Amazon.   22. My favorite way to encourage learning is to incorporate it into everyday activities. For example when we go to the grocery store and see something new I’ll explain it to my son.

  27. My favorite way to encourage learning is talking with my son about everything we see on our drives, when we go shopping and really make sure he’s engaged and trying to talk too. I try to stop and listen when he’s talking too so he learns speech and communication skills well.

  69. I’ve found that a great way to encourage learning is to be engaged in the process myself. For example, I love going for walks, where it’s easy and fun to discover the flowers blooming and the active insects, animals, and birds, which affords lots of opportunities to learn about seasons, colors, nature, and all sorts of things.

  86. We like to spend time outside. We head to a nearby State park where there are hiking trails and a huge aquarium. We play I Spy while hiking and have fun while learning and getting exercise.
