Today, I’m focusing on one great plaid shirt that you can style three ways. Do you ever get fixated on a certain piece of clothing and wear it over and over again, even though you have plenty of options in your closet? No? Just me? As long as I don’t see the same people over again, I’m good. Right?
First order of business, find the perfect plaid shirt. Here are two options:
Splurge: You’ll see this shirt in the collages below and it’s a great option, but definitely pricey. It’s great because it’s not thick like a flannel, it’s a high-low so it works with leggings and the cut is super flattering.
Steal: I just got this shirt and I already know I’ll wear it over and over again, it would work interchangeably with any of the outfits below.
The great news about these outfits is you probably have most or all of these items in your closet.
Military Jacket / Plaid Shirt (Splurge / Steal) / Dark Skinny Jeans / Black Booties
I love this outfit for cooler days. The black booties and dark washed jeans make it feel more polished for a date or girls night. You can grab a cute necklace to pair with it to dress it up more, too. The dark skinny jeans linked above are amazingly polished and comfortable. I have them in two washes from Gap and right now you can get them at 40% off right now.
Plaid Shirt (Splurge / Steal) / Kendra Scott necklace / Brown Booties (similar) / Distressed Jeans
This outfit is more relaxed and perfect for fun-filled Saturdays with the family or even just a day of shopping. I need to step out of my comfort zone and try the boyfriend fit, but I always go back to a skinny distressed version.
Riding Boots / Vest / Plaid Shirt (Splurge / Steal) / Leggings
This wins the prize for the most comfortable. If you haven’t heard me say it a million times, listen now, use your high-waisted workout leggings as pants. And if you aren’t wearing the Zella “Live In” leggings, get them in your life. They will be your favorites! Also, if you don’t have a J.Crew quilted vest in your life, this is the time. They are on major sale!!
