- I feel like I need to promise you that I’m going to give you something other than bullet points of random thoughts. Let’s just get that out the way, I am, I promise. My to-do list for the past month (and up until the 14th of April) is not messing around. I checked a Leadership Day at school off on Friday, but that leaves me with an iPad training session, a trip to Dallas for Blissdom, a technology showcase, BK’s 3rd birthday party and a baby shower. Are you tired just from reading that, or is it just me? Speaking of the Leadership Day, I was SO proud of my students who “taught” Habit 1 (Be Proactive) to parents and visitors from our community on Friday. How cute was this hall display from the four kindergarten classes? Each of us had a different area in the school, the students not only rocked the presentation but they also rocked the displays.
- I can’t thank you enough for linking up for the Build ‘Em Up series last week. I read some amazing words and added some great blogs to my reader. I hope you had a chance to check out some of the other bloggers who linked up, they were full of encouragement and heart.
- On Saturday, we a had fun day of shopping. I don’t normally go shopping with Allen, especially not when I’m aiming to make a day of it, but I talked to him into it when I mentioned Bass Pro Shop. Which is right down the road from the outlet mall, of course. They were having fantastic sales, but I spent most of my time in Gap. The 4″ short is going to be my best friend this summer, I’m kicking myself for not buying more colors. They were also having a bit of a St. Patrick’s day celebration. Allen and Braylen enjoyed the festivities while I finished up shopping. I came back to find her with this fun face painting, I couldn’t believe she sat still long enough to get it done, she loved it! Actually, she loved it so much that I didn’t get to take it off until after she fell asleep last night.
- Let’s back up to Friday night. I meant to post this picture on Instagram to prove that my favorite #ootd’s are very casual. We grabbed Mexican food Friday evening and I quickly changed into something that met my standard of comfort. Flats, jeans, a long tank and comfy shirt. Also, this is a good glimpse of how messy my closet floor gets by Friday. I definitely should have put this on Instagram, it would have cropped out the mess.
- I was putting away some clothes in Braylen’s room last night and I had to take a picture of this unique grouping. Allen recently started a second business venture that involves heavy equipment rentals and other things I pretend really interested in, but understand nothing about. When he bought his Bobcat, they gave him this little die-cast version for BK. She insists that it sit on her shelf, she rarely gets it down, it just sits there on display. I guess it accents the pink and green nicely.
- I keep telling myself that I need to post another room for the home tour and then I remember that blank walls are boring. One day, they’ll be filled and it will be worth the wait. I just can’t put things up that I’m not completely sold on, it really makes decorating tricky.
- Every single picture in this post is from the iPhone. I’m making it a priority to take some pictures of BK with a real camera before I leave for Blissdom.
- Yes, I did just another thing to my to-do list. Obviously, it’s time for bed.
- Anyone else tried the Hazelnut Macchiato? It trumps the caramel version, in my book. Keep in mind that’s coming from someone who thought that could never be done, it’s really that good!
- Can you believe this ponytail? She claims she doesn’t like “penny-tails,” but she’ll let me sneak one in every once in a while. Each time I put it up, I can’t believe how much it has grown. With 3 right around the corner, I’m clearly seeing just how fast these years fly by.
- Remember that fun boutique that I introduced you to in the Blissdom post? Well… Ella Madison is offering you 10% your order with the code “green” at checkout! Head on over and treat yourself to something fabulous!

Congrats on getting your leadership day done. Love when you can knock those things off the list AND they go well! I so wish I could go to Blissdom this year as it’s only 4 hours from us in Dallas. Maybe next year!
