I’m linking up with Kelly for Show Us Your Life, and it’s all about Freezer Meals today. When I started teaching again, I used freezer meals to shave off some prep time when it came to dinner each night.
I’ve actually made batches of meals to freeze. I’m going to link to the freezer meal posts below and a few other recipes that would freeze really well. You can click on any of the large headings to go to that specific page on the blog.
Freezer Meals Round 1
In this post I made 8 different recipes at once for a total of 16 meals. I like to double the recipes (or some recipes are already big enough and I just split them), since I’m doing all of the prep work already, it works well to go ahead and make two of each meal. These recipes all use chicken. I just cook a ton of chicken and then shred it in my Kitchen-Aide stand mixer.
Freezer Meals Round 2
I made 3 different recipes for a total of 7 different meals. This time I used ground turkey as the meat in all of the dishes.
Here are some other recipes that freeze really well:
Best Ever Taco Soup (low WW points)
Slow-Cooker Verde Pork Enchiladas
Creamy Chicken Enchiladas (low WW points)
I usually just prep the meals right to the point when they should go into the oven. Instead of cooking them, just freeze them. The temperature for baking stays the same, you may just need to add a little time.
