I’m a planner through and through, it helps us stay on track as a family, it’s what makes our life a little easier most days. The only problem with planning is that it takes time. Real time out my schedule, a schedule that I sometimes don’t want to alter to sit down and do things with, like meal plan. This year, Allen and I have challenged ourselves to eat at home more. It’s a big change for us, considering I can count on one hand the number of times I cooked dinner for us in December.
A while back, I gave eMeals a try for the first time. I love the ease and simplicity of their service. Each week you are given a set of recipes based on the meal plan you choose. There are tons of different meal plans that fit a wide variety of lifestyles.
Once you chose your plan and sign up for a subscription, each week youll get a menu. The best part is that they include 7 meals. I dont know about you but I dont cook 7 times a week, I try to plan for 4 or 5 so I just picked my favorites for the week.
And it also comes with a grocery list and breaks down exactly what you need.. Seriously, theyve thought of everything, you’ll be ready to grocery shop, with a list that is perfectly laid out each week.

And I want to share with you one of my favorite dishes from my meal plan. I think the prep time was about 15 minutes and everyone in my family (including my picky toddler) wanted in on this meal.
- 9 oz bag baked whole wheat pita chips
- 10 oz container hummus
- 3 cups shredded romaine lettuce
- 3 cups shredded deli-roasted chicken
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- ½ cup sliced kalamata olives
- ½ cup crumbled reduced-fat feta cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- Arrange pita chips on a serving platter; top with
- hummus, lettuce, chicken tomatoes, olives, and
- feta cheese. Whisk together oregano, oil, and
- vinegar; drizzle evenly over nachos.
eMeals is backed by Dave Ramsey, it’s both practical and affordable and I think it will save our family both time and money.
I downloaded my next meal plan yesterday and I’m already excited about some of the new things we’ll get to try.
I was given a subscription to the service, all opinions are mine. Affiliate links embedded.

I really need to try this, one of my goals this year is to make a list of meals to make each week for dinner!

I’ve never heard of emeals, but holy cow! I am into the shopping lists and the easy peasy 7 meals that are generated for me. I’ll have to try this out and these nachos look amaaaaazing.
