2 Months

Braylen, 

Today, you are two months old! I can’t believe how much you’ve grown in these 8 short weeks. Your daddy and I fall in love with you more and more everyday. Before you were born we had no idea just how much you would change our lives for the better. You have a smile that melts my heart, a laugh that is like music to my ears, and you make the sweetest sounds I have ever heard. I love spending every day with you. I also love that you desire my attention pretty much all day, you love to be talked to, and played with, and cuddled. Its amazing watching you grow every day and learn new things. You love to lay on your changing table because its under the window and the sunshine makes you smile. I love you so much sweet Braylen Kate, much more than I ever thought possible. And while I do enjoy watching you grow, time could slow down just a little for us and I wouldn’t complain at all. 

At two months:

• Eating- you eat every 2 1/2-3 hours during the day. 
• Sleepng- You’ve turned into quite the sleeper. You usually go to bed around 10:00 (we’ve tried earlier but 10:00 seems to be the magic number for you) then wake up between 3:00 and 4:00. You wake up just long enough to eat and then you go right back to sleep until 6:00 or 7:00. Then, some morning you take a long nap until about 9:30. When you wake up, you are usually up for the rest of the day with the exception of a few 30-45 minute naps. 
• You are doing a great job holding your head up, it seems to get stronger by the day. 
• You have a strong grip and in the past few days your daddy has been able to get you to hold on to some of your toys. Of course, you take them straight to your mouth when you get them. 
• You still LOVE taking a bath.
• You’ve started to like your pacifier a little more, there is only one certain kind you will take (Soothie Newborn) and you only want it sometimes. 
• You love to be held, talked to, and played with. We play on your “kick and play” a good bit, and you also like to sit in your bouncy seat or swing. 
• You wear a size 1 diaper and 0-3 month clothes.
