Let's talk about one of my favorite things since revamping how we deal with our clothes. We revamped the closet and made it useful, and then I showed you how in my more shallow drawers, I'm able to roll the shirts, allowing me to see each piece of clothing. However, a few of our drawers are pretty deep and the only real way I've ever been able to fit everything in those drawers is to fold and stack. surviving to thriving: BK’s space + capsule wardrobe
Much like Judson's room, the only real issue with clutter was clothing and shoes in BK's room. Her room also has an attic space in the closet, which makes it extremely convenient to store things. We went through about 20 tubs of childrens clothing while tackling BK's room. I did save some of her things to have a quilt made from, but we got rid of an overwhelming majority. One of my favorite things about BK is her love for treasures. Seashells and rocks, charms and flattened pennies. She doesn't have an abundance of these things, and I know to most it looks like a pile of junk, but she loves them so. surviving to thriving: Jud’s space + capsule wardrobe
The kids rooms were some of the easiest. We don't store a ton in their rooms, and the toys all live in the playroom, so the majority of the clutter in their rooms came from clothing and shoes. Jud's room still has a changing table, and he still requires a few necessities to be within reach. We use the changing table drawer organizers (DIY link) and it allows every thing to stay in one place. This is honestly one of the few areas that we had done correctly.
