I didn't manage to blog much in July, but I did read a few good books. I went on a little girls beach trip and managed to read one, and I traded in my phone and Netflix at night for reading before bed and it has proved to be a welcome change. So I didn't start the first half of the year strong on the reading front, but I'm covering good ground this summer. I read four books this month, and fair warning, one of them doesn't get a stellar review. I'd recommend 3/4, so it's not too shabby. Sorry for the unexpected break, Allen announced around lunch time on Friday that we were going to sneak away to Nashville for about 24 hours for our anniversary. It was super fun, I'm back to reality now, but it definitely put a kink in my Blogtember plans. Spontaneous travel trumps the blog. That's just the way it is. But, I thought I'd write a quick post today and get back to the challenge! Back in July, loaned me a stack of books to read on my beach trip. My goal for the year is to read 3 books each month, and I was definitely reading the last book on January 30th, but managed to fit them all in for the month. All of these books were recommendations from , she's my go to for what to read these days. 1. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes 4/5 stars I don't know what it would take for me to give a book 5 stars, this one would come close, but there are so many conflicts that I had with Louisa's character, that I had trouble really falling in love with the book like so many have.
