Braylen, Today, you are two months old! I can't believe how much you've grown in these 8 short weeks. Your daddy and I fall in love with you more and more everyday. Before you were born we had no idea just how much you would change our lives for the better. You have a smile that melts my heart, a laugh that is like music to my ears, and you make the sweetest sounds I have ever heard. I love spending every day with you. Happy One Month!
Braylen,Today you are one month old! I can't believe how time flies! We have had quite an eventful month. First, you were born and we were so excited that you were finally here, so happy to finally get to hold you and love on you. Then, you got sick and it was back to the hospital for us. You spent 6 days in the Special Care Unit at Children's Hospital for parainfluenza 3. You really scared your daddy and me. Now, you are home and doing so much better and we are so thankful. We always knew we loved you and cared for you greatly but seeing you in the hospital made it all the more clear to us. Say a Little Prayer…
Yesterday morning, Braylen wasn't feeling well and was having trouble breathing so we were advised by the after hours nurse to bring her to Children's so that they could check her. Allen and I seriously thought we wouldn't get past the triage nurse before she told us that nothing was wrong and sent us back home. Just overly anxious, very cautious first time parents.When they hooked Braylen up to the heart monitor and oxygen the doctor noticed that she was having "spells" where her heart rate would drop which would in turn cause her oxygen to drop.It was crazy how things changed after she had these "spells" At first, the nurse informed us we would just be admitted for observations and given a … [Read more...]
