Marshmallow Treats 2 Ways
I'm sure you've all had a rice krispie treat at some point. Whether it be the store-bought type in the shiny blue wrapper or the sweet gooey goodness you make in your own kitchen. Let's be real, the shiny blue wrapper ain't got nothin' on the kind you make at your house. At least for me, they don't taste alike at all. And my husband? Loves a rice krispie treat. I distinctively remeember a time when we were dating (and our metabolisms were much, much faster) him sitting down with an entire pan of freshly pressed treats and nearly polishing them off. southern-style cornbread
Anytime we ever eat with my grandparents we always have cornbread with the meal. Supper isn't ready until the cornbread is made and you wouldn't dare have a meal without it.I've mentioned before that my grandmother cans and freezes vegetables from her garden for us (and everyone else she knows), it's what she loves to do. They plant an enormous garden and spend countless hours tending to it and we all love the veggies that come from it.And don't think this is all The Little Red Hen and we just want to enjoy the fruits of someone else's labor.
