Tuesday marked the first day back to school for BK, she's moved up to the three-year-old class, and things look a little different this year. We learned at Open House that it would be a little more like school, learning letters and having calendar time, and even bringing home a behavior chart in her daily folder. When I uploaded these pictures to the computer, I couldn't believe how much she has grown over the summer. I feel like she must be a foot taller! Last night we worked on this fun little project. I feed her really good, except sometimes when I don’t
I have to be honest with you, I'm swimming in a sea of things I need to avoid. In essence, the list of things I'm not supposed to feed my toddler is longer than the list of things she can actually eat. I know we need to stay away from high-fructose corn syrup and watch the MSG's, and then there's gluten and that's a whole other story. Then, anything I can't pronounce on labels, anything with over seven (or is it five) ingredients on the label, and hot dogs, basically anything listed as an ingredient in hot dogs. And GMO's, right? A peek inside Braylen’s lunch box
When Braylen started school this past August, I was immediately excited to start making cute little lunches to send with her each morning. Toddler lunch can be tricky, the appetite of a toddler changes constantly. Some days I feel like she doesn't eat enough to survive and others I feel like she eats enough for two. For Braylen, the key is variety. I could send her strawberries each day for a month and she might eat every single one. Then, she may not eat them the next time I send them.
