Animal Kingdom was our last full day in the parks, and it was the hottest and most humid day of our stay. We were excited to get to see all of the animals and make our way to the fourth and final Disney World park, but the heat definitely won out. We ended up leaving the park before the parade even came through, here’s a quick recap of our day.
We arrived and headed straight for the Safari, to Fast Pass the ride. Most of the rides have a height requirement that BK doesn’t meet, so we knew we would be skipping out on those. On the way to get our Fast Pass, we were distracted by a little African dancing.
Since our fast pass wouldn’t be good for another hour, we walked over to, It’s Tough Being A Bug, and watched the movie. It was a little scary for BK, but she immediately asked if we could do it a second time, since there was no line, we went ahead and watched it again. Plus, it was inside were it was nice and cool. After the second time, she ultimately decided it was a little too scary and didn’t want to do a third time (thank goodness).
The safari ride was so much fun and BK surprised me by pointing out the animals on the guide card. She could figure out exactly which ones we were looking at throughout the safari.
After the safari, BK joined in on a little drumming fun.
We walked over to Tusker House for our reservation shortly after, it was another character dining restaurant, and it didn’t disappoint. We were able to try some new things and sit in a nice, air-conditioned building for lunch. The characters came by and BK was just as excited to see them, even though most were repeats. She didn’t seem to mind.
We walked over to Asia to see a few more animals, while waiting on the parade to start. By this point, it was obvious she wouldn’t make it through the parade, so we decided to head back to the room. BK was able to take a good nap and then have some pool time, much cooler than the parks.
Overall, we had an amazing time at Disney World. It far exceeded my expectations and her reaction to everything we did was worth every single penny we spent. We can’t wait to go back!
