I need to preface this post by telling you that I’m not in any way a fashion blogger. I love clothes. I love shoes. I love handbags and everything fashion related. But, me? I need a little direction. I don’t instantly look at things and pair them together, and I certainly don’t take enough fashion risks. When I heard about Stitch FixI just knew it was exactly what I needed. You fill out a style profile, complete with tons of questions about your style, and size. Then, you schedule your fix and it comes straight to your door. What exactly do I mean by “fix”? It’s a box put together by a stylish (based on your profile) and it includes 5 different items.
The initial cost of the box is $20, BUT you can use that $20 as a credit if you chose to keep at least one thing from the box. The box also comes with a prepaid postage envelope to ship back the things you don’t like. So, free shipping and free returns, and you only lose the 20 bucks if you don’t like a single thing in the box. The odds are in your favor, at least mine were.
Let’s talk about my box. I snapped a few pictures to show off the items that came in my first fix. Even better? I didn’t snap my normal “selfie” with my iPhone in the closet. Hooray for better quality photos!
Item #1- Amrita Ankle Length Jean by Just Black These skinny jeans came in green and I would have NEVER chosen this color for myself, but I absolutely loved them once I slipped them on. I scanned my closet and it seems that I have several shirts to pair these jeans with, and I can even use them for different occasions. The fit was great and the price was perfect, too. At $48, I couldn’t pass on these.
Item #2- Luke Tribal Print Front Pocket Tank by Pink Martini I’ll admit, the length of this shirt is a little out of my comfort zone. I tend to gravitate towards a longer length to hide the curviness of my hips. However, I tried this on and loved it immediately. The colors are perfect, I love the cool factor that the tribal print adds, and I can easily pair it with a longer cardigan and wear it to school. It was a keeper, too!
Item #3- Pyramid Rhinestone Charm Necklace by 41Hawthorn I immediately loved the daintiness of this necklace. It is simple and sweet. At $28 it found a new home in my jewelry box.
Item #4 Delcan Crochet Inset Floral Print Top by Angie This top had a tiny bit of the high-low look, just enough to comfortably cover up the backside. I love the colors and the print. The crochet details are just perfect and I can easily wear this to work. I think it will carry me into fall nicely. I kept it, are you starting to see a trend here?
Item #5- Ana Marie V-Neck Printed Back Top by Honey Punch When I was pulling the pieces out of the box, I instantly loved this top. The front is solid navy, but the back has such a fun print. Navy is one of my favorite colors to wear, and I think this top would pair nicely with jeans and flats for a great casual look. And guess what? I kept it! Let’s also talk about the look on my face, clearly I’m not amused about having my picture taken a million times. Props to my favorite fashion bloggers. I don’t know how you do it. Maybe next time I’ll give you something other than the hand on my hip. Any I might even iron those pink shorts. Probably not. A huge thanks to that patient husband of mine for suffering through all of these outfit changes.
If you haven’t figured out the obvious, I kept everything in my box. I was pleasantly surprised that everything fit, and I loved all of the pieces that were included. The best part? Stitch Fix gives you 25% off your entire order, if you keep all five pieces. This fix came at a perfect time because I had adjusted the budget to include a few new things for back to school, so it wasn’t a big deal to keep everything. Thank goodness, because I’m not sure I could have parted with these items.
Obviously, I think you should go ahead and schedule a fix, too! There was no compensation for this post, but if you use Stitch Fix this link, I’ll get a referral credit. And then, when you sign up, you’ll get your own link too, and you can start earning referral credits. So go ahead and schedule your first fix and start sharing the love with your friends and family. I’m positive you’ll be glad you did.

I’m glad you loved it! I got that Pink Martini top in my box last month, but I had one too similar so I didn’t get to keep it. I’m impressed that you kept everything – I haven’t had a box yet where everything worked, but I always manage to fall in love with 2 or 3 pieces. I can’t wait to do it again!

Isn’t it so much fun?! I, too, was so surprised how well everything fit! I wasn’t expecting that. I got and kept those green pants! They’re so comfy, and like you said, can be paired with so much! My 2nd fix comes tomorrow. ๐
