On Thursday morning we woke up bright and early to catch the bus to Epcot. I know Epcot isn’t a favorite of everyone, and I always hear to leave it out if you have little ones. But, I have to tell you that we disagree. I love so many things about Epcot.
Epcot makes for a more laid back day, the scenery is beautiful, and dinner at Akershus is always delicious.
We were lucky enough to visit during the Flower and Food Festival. Epcot is gorgeous anyway, but it is amazing during the festival.
We started our Fast Passes bright and early with Mission to Mars, Test Track, and Spaceship Earth.
Actually, while they were riding Spaceship Earth, Jud and I found a Starbucks and played peek-a-boo in the mirrors. Can we talk about how happy this little guy was to just hang out with us at the parks all day? He would hang with us as long as he could, nap in the stroller, and wake up happy and ready to go again.
After hitting a few more high points like The Seas With Nemo and The Lands. I grabbed a Dole Whip and we headed to the countries. It’s a long trek and we had a little time to kill before our dinner reservation, so we stopped in a few shows to catch a break from the heat.
Somewhere after this picture was taken, my camera didn’t make it any further. We continued our trek and I didn’t realize I was camera-less. We looked at cute little Bonsai trees, marveled at the sand sculpture, and stopped to play some drums in Africa.
Right before our reservation, we changed BK into her princess dress and checked-in for our dinner at Askershus. I went to grab my camera and it was no where to be found. Here’s the thing, I don’t put a ton of stock in things that are replaceable. However, the camera had some irreplaceable photos on the card, and it literally made me nauseous to think about losing all of those precious moments. I retraced my steps, but no one had seen the missing camera. As sad as I was, I went back in and saw sweet BK marveling over the princesses and I decided that I wouldn’t let it ruin our evening. We would eat, watch the fireworks, and check guest services on the way out of the park.
And have a great night, we did! BK met some of her favorites, we had a great dinner, and then walked over to catch the fireworks. We used a Fast Pass for the fireworks (such a great decision), and watched in awe.
I stopped by Guest Services on the way out and retrieved my missing camera. Apparently, someone had found it in China and turned it in, we were happily reunited. I stayed up late that night backing up the pictures and getting all of the photos from the card. Sweet relief.
BK fell asleep on our way back to the room and I’m certain she’s the sweetest sleeping princess I’ve ever laid my eyes upon.

I lost my camera at Epcot once! I was devastated. Thankfully someone turned it in. I feel the same way about pictures.

oh I’m sure glad you got your camera back!! I’d definitely have a little meltdown if I lost mine esp at Disney. Nicely done on just continuing on and getting it back from guest services later.

Epcot is one of our favorites too. My goal is to get there during the Flower and Garden festival one year.

What a relief to find your camera. I think my camera is the one material possession that would completely make me sick to lose. So thankful for good people in this world that understand the importance of returning it!!!
We had so many people tell us to skip Epcot as well, so we reserved it for the end of the week thinking we would head back to the room early to rest, but that didn’t happen. All four of us completely loved the park, and we really wished we could have had one more day there. It was so laid back, and the boys loved all of the techy experimental things they could do. It looks like you all had such a wonderful trip!

How does the fastpass work for the fireworks? Is it a reserved place to watch them?
