Can you even believe it? I’m recapping the last day at Disney World and I promise to share all of my favorite tips this week, too.
Friday morning started out with one big surprise for BK, we took a trip to the Grand Floridian to attend a special tea party with Aurora. This tea party deserves a post of its own, but let me just give you a little hint as to how it turned out.
We headed right over to Animal Kingdom after the tea party where Allen and Judson were already waiting (and enjoying themselves in Dino Land). It was time for a nap by the time we met up with them.
Remember when I told you Braylen wanted to ride every ride she was tall enough for? Well, Everest was no exception. It was probably the first ride that scared her a bit, but she wasn’t against riding it again, so I think she’s definitely a bit of a thrill seeker.
We checked out some animals and Braylen found a few friends to play a fun game with over in Africa.
Did I tell you that Braylen has the best personality? If music is playing she is dancing along, and pulling Disney cast members into the streets to dance with her. For the record, she doesn’t get her people skills from me, although I could probably learn a thing or two from her and her ability to make friends everywhere she goes.
Another funny thing that happened? Towards the end of the week, Judson figured out we were getting our bands scanned for various things, but always after photos. He would walk right up to the photography and hold his wrist out after every single picture.
We had early dinner reservations at Tusker House, and towards the end of our meal we ended up with an entire dining room to ourselves and had amazing access to the characters. It was the first time Judson didn’t have reservations about interacting with them. By the end of our meal, he was leading everyone in the Hot Dog dance, it was another highlight of our trip.
We saw our favorite show, The Lion King right at 5:00, when the park was closing. The day was beautiful and the kids were in an amazing mood so we hopped over to Magic Kingdom to round out our trip. We found a great spot and ate dinner on the sidewalk while waiting for the parade.
After the parade, we headed over to Frontier Land and walked onto a few rides before ending our night in Fantasyland, on an It’s A Small World Boat.
I’ll probably say this about Disney each and every time we go, but my goodness, it is so good for my heart. I love seeing the kids light up with all the magic, and get excited for rides, and characters.
We packed up Saturday morning to head home, but not before stopping at Downtown Disney.
