Another day in the books, and this just happened to be one of the best days we’ve ever had at Disney. Starting out this morning, I didn’t think that would be the case, the Princess 1/2 Marathon is this weekend and that made for some major traffic issues this morning. The crowd level today was high, way higher than I expected, but we played our Fast Passes just right and ended up doing way more than we anticipated.
We had an early wake-up call because for breakfast at Magic Kingdom.
Our morning started with breakfast at Be Our Guest at 9:15 (it was an 8:30 reservations, but traffic issues). I love Be Our Guest for any meal of the day, but it’s fun to have a Quick Service breakfast or lunch option that takes advanced dining reservations.
Our first Fast Pass was for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Judson barely made the height requirement. He’s been talking about riding a roller coaster for weeks now, and his reaction was amazing. He look scared the entire time, but as soon as we got off he proceeded to tell us all about how fun it was. I videoed the entire thing with the GoPro and it did not disappoint.
We also had a Fast Pass for the Barnstormer…
And the wait for Dumbo was about 10 minutes, so we rode it while we were in the Storybook Circus area.
The crowd started to grow at this point, so we headed over to grab a quick picture while we had a few minutes to spare (and before everyone ruined their clothes with ice cream).
We were in Adventureland for our 11:50 Jungle Cruise Fast Pass. It’s been closed the past two years, but don’t worry, it’s still as cheesy as ever. Clearly, BK was super amused by the one-liners.
I’d say this was definitely the hottest part of the day (and that calls for a Dole Whip), Jud fell asleep in the stroller and we found plenty of shaded seating in Adventureland.
BK indulged in her favorite Mickey ice cream…
We spent some time resting while Jud napped, BK brought bubbles, so she played with those near our table. It was a good way to beat the heat. Until everyone decided they were hungry. We headed over to Columbia Harbor House and ate (Jud continued to nap) around 1:30.
Here’s where things got really good. We rode the Peter Pan ride with our Fast Pass somewhere around 2:00’ish.
We had a few minutes to spare while waiting on our next Fast Pass, BK went to Castle Couture for some magical pixie dust.
We had a 2:20 Fast Pass for Mickey’s Philharmagic…
Then, we rode the tea cups…
After the tea cups, we rode the Journey of The Little Mermaid, and per BK’s request, It’s a Small World.
At 4:20, we met Tinkerbell at Town Square. Jud was once again enamored, he can’t even contain his excitement. BK asked her questions about pixie dust and the logistics of it all. Of course.
We had dinner with friends from the Hundred Acre Woods…
And since we didn’t feel like we had enough Pooh at dinner, we rode the Winnie the Pooh ride after dinner. That concluded our time in Fantasy Land and we were ready to ride Space Mountain.
In Tomorrowland, we grabbed popcorn….
Found a dance party…
And then we rode Space Mountain (it’ll always be a favorite of mine). Around 8:30, we decided to call it a night, but not before checking out the new Once Upon A Time show.
Both kids fell asleep on the way home and I don’t think they’ve moved since we put them in bed. A sure sign of an amazing day at Disney.

You got a lot done despite the crowd. That’s probably our normal crowd level for our trips so it wouldn’t have seemed different to us. We’ve never been able to do beyond our 3 FPs, but it usually works out ok without them. I tend to do mine a way that most people wouldn’t just so we can change our plans last minute if we want to.
