Braylen,
Today you are one month old! I can’t believe how time flies! We have had quite an eventful month. First, you were born and we were so excited that you were finally here, so happy to finally get to hold you and love on you. Then, you got sick and it was back to the hospital for us. You spent 6 days in the Special Care Unit at Children’s Hospital for parainfluenza 3. You really scared your daddy and me. Now, you are home and doing so much better and we are so thankful. We always knew we loved you and cared for you greatly but seeing you in the hospital made it all the more clear to us. I definitely hold you a little longer once you fall asleep now, and hug you a little tighter. You are such a good baby and you hardly ever cry, but as soon as I think you might cry I usually pick you up to make you happy. Your daddy says I am going to spoil you, and that’s okay. You are growing right before our eyes and your daddy and I beg you everyday to stop getting so big and stay our sweet baby girl forever. ๐ You are such a beautiful baby and we melt every time you look at us with your big blue eyes.
Love, Mommy and Daddy
At one month:
- Eating- you eat every 2-2 1/2 hours during the day and every 4-5 hours at night.
- Sleeping- you love to sleep, but lately you have been staying awake more. You usually sleep for 4 hours at night and then wake up to eat.
- You are so strong, you try so hard to hold your head up and you kick your little legs all the time. (Which is no surprise to me, since you kicked me so hard while I was pregnant)
- You really enjoy bath time. Daddy loves to give you a bath and you are happy until we take you out and dry you off.
- You don’t really like pacifiers. Sometimes I catch you sucking on your hand though.
- You love to be held and talked to, it calms you down so quickly.
- Even though your growing you are still so tiny. You almost wear a size 1 diaper, you’re actually in between a Newborn and size 1…too bad they don’t make an “in between” size. You wear Newborn clothes still too, the 0-3 months are still too big for you.
One week photo and one month photo…
Someone suggested I use a stuffed animal to compare her size to every month to really see how she has grown. I thought that was a great idea…
