A while back the fabulous did a “What’s in my…” post. I was feeling a little inspired and wanted to share with you the contents of my makeup bag. I love posts like these because I always find amazing products I didn’t have a clue about and I’d definitely love to hear from you in the comments. Tell me, is there a beauty must-have that I’m missing?
Let’s take it from the top. I currently use this adorable Coach makeup bag that was a recent birthday present from my mother.
I’m not a huge make-up-wearer, I mean I wear it every day but it’s quick and easy. Obviously I put more effort into it if we’re going out but for everyday wear I keep it simple.I start out with this primer from Mary Kay, it does a good job at keeping my foundation on all day.
Concealer is always the first thing I use. Look at this concealer on the left, it is cheap drug-store concealer that a friend recommended. Those two on the right combined probably cost five times the one on the left. I’m a big believer in brand-name make-up but I’m here to tell that the Maybeline Age Rewind works better than any concealer I’ve ever used.
But eyeliner? I’m a believer in Mac eyeliner. It’s seriously the best I’ve ever used and I don’t have any plans of changing.
And speaking of make-up bags I have a list of new things I want to fill mine with thanks to Birchbox! This month was the best yet…
- FIX Malibu Immaculate Complexion Advanced Antioxidant Serum
- Juicy Couture perfume
- VMV Hypoallergenics Re-Everything Lotion
- Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof eyeliner
- Witchcraft granola

This is a great idea for a post! I just may have to borrow it!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Bare Minerals! I hadn’t even thought about it not tugging on my (aging) skin…I just love the flawless coverage. It never seems to wear off either. I use the full-coverage concealer brush with the regular foundation powder for my dark circles, too. I am also a HUGE fan of anything to brighten my eyes, so that Benefit Ooh-La-Lift is also an everyday “tool” of mine! π
Can’t wait to do this myself! Thanks for sharing!

I love this post. I’m a sucker for makeup (although most days I don’t put mine on).

I love Mary Kay’s mascara, also. I have been wanting to switch foundations so I will have to try MK. Thanks for this great post!
And I also do Birchbox and I LOVE it! It is so fun to get that pink box in the mail each month and you really cannot beat $10!

Mary Kay does have some awesome products. Have you tried their Skin Care line? or Satin Lips (my personal Favorite Product!) Totally worth every penny!
