We had a busy Mother’s Day weekend but surprisingly, it was pretty relaxing. On Friday night we went out to eat with some friends at one of my favorite local places. Then on Saturday morning we headed to the lake. We spent the day on the water, BK went for a boat ride and loved being on the water and Allen and I rode the jet ski’s.
I have to sing the praises of this new life jacket she is wearing. This is life jacket number 3 for us, she just doesn’t like to keep them on and well, that’s really not an option when we’re at the lake. We picked up this Puddle Jumper on Saturday morning and she didn’t even want to take it off when we went inside.
She sat on the pier and watched the guys fish. She kept telling me “I watching this tv show.” She always makes us laugh.
We stayed with my parents on Saturday evening, Allen had a singing early Sunday morning for a Mother’s Day breakfast and I made this Cinnamon Roll monkey bread for mom. It was a hit and I’ll share the recipe tomorrow. I also made Death by Chocolate for our dessert after the Mother’s Day lunch my mom made.
We went to church and I snagged a quick picture with my sweet girl afterwards.
And with my mama too.
And I have to share this adorable gift Haley and Chase gave my mom. Haley bought a clear plastic container (like the Chinese restaurant gives you for take-out soup), printed off this cute “Pamper Yourself” label and filled it with things for a manicure.
I’m definitely stealing this idea for future gifts.
My flowers from my mom, they’re sitting on my desk at work now and they made my day brighter each time I looked at them today.
My parents cook lunch for both of their mothers after every Mother’s Day. I love that they do this because it means we get to see everyone at one time and we can spend the evening with Allen’s mom.
I thought this picture of BK sitting with two of her great-grandfather’s was priceless.
And just for fun let’s take a look back at my past three Mother’s Days. The first when BK was only about 4 weeks old and she stayed in her little tiny baby gown all day, the second I don’t have an actual picture of but this is about the same time last year and finally our picture from this year.

Such great pics of a beautiful day and family!
So you guys like that life vest? We tried one for W from his grandmother almost just like it, but I think he’s too small for it. BK is already 2 correct? And taller I’m sure than W. What did y’all use before this?
