Our master bedroom is almost complete. I’m missing curtains and Euro shams that I ordered from Etsy, but it’s good enough to share on the blog. I’ll be sharing a room each week or so from now on as I finish them, of course.
The bedroom was already painted this color when we bought the house. I liked it well enough to keep it, for the most part I didn’t spend too much on the bedroom. I blogged about the grouping above our bed here, I already had most of the pictures, the bedding was on sale when I purchased it and the bedroom suite we purchased several years ago.
The master bedroom was the only room we lost space on in the move. Our previous house was a split-level built in the early 1980’s. Therefore the entire space above the garage was one large master bedroom. You can see it here.
This is the view looking in from the door. Those doors on the opposite wall open onto the back deck. I dream of sitting out there and reading, but not right now it’s too hot and there aren’t any chairs yet :).
This is looking in from the back deck.
My nightstand with a baby monitor, books to read and one of my favorite pictures of us.
The only pictures in our master bedroom are of the two of us. At first, I was feeling a little selfish but after talking to several other ladies it seems to be fairly normal. Don’t worry, our living room and the rest of our home is filled with Braylen.
One of my favorite things in our bedroom is this fun printable from Sarah, it’s free and it comes in several colors but the gray matched our bedroom best. You can find it here.

Love the colors. I am wanting to redo our master bedroom. I got lots of ideas from yours. I agree that it is fine just to have pictures of you and your hubby in your bedroom. My living room and other rooms are just covered with the kids’ pictures. As my hubby says, our bedroom is just for us. Ha!
