I’m back for another round of the PinStyle challenge. Last week was crazy. I’m not sure how I accomplished anything aside from making tulle wands and party favors. Busy or not, I had to get dressed every single day, so this PinStyle challenge didn’t get put aside like so many other things. If you haven’t joined in you, I encouraged you to try it out, I’m wearing things I haven’t worn in quite a well and really utilizing the things in my closet. I was stuck in such a rut and wearing the same things over and over, it’s nice to pull out some older pieces and freshen them up a bit.
Once again, here’s a quick overview:
- Pick an outfit from your Pinterest style board (or stalk your fashionable friends boards),
- Document yourself wearing it (selfies are fine, too!),
- Share your outfit on Instagram and Pinterest,
- Tag your photos with #pinstyle13 so we can follow along,
- Blog about the challenge next Monday and come back here to link up!
Monday- Black and white stripes. Top from Old Navy, necklace from SheInside.com, black skinnies from Express (Zelda) and Reva’s.
Tuesday- If part of this challenge wasn’t to avoid buying new things to create the looks, I would have bought a new gray top for this photo. Those black capris were a recent purchase, but not specifically for this challenge, my tried and true pair were actually too big (yes, I‘ll take that problem any day of the week). I picked these up on a recent Old Navy trip and was shocked that they rang up for 68 cents. Come on, 68 cents?? I paired the black capris with a Gap tank, cropped cardigan (I have no idea where this is from), bubble necklace, and Jessica Simpson wedges from Belk.
Wednesday- This picture of SJP was my inspiration, I don’t own a pair of gray skinnies, but I do have the most comfortable trouser pant known to man. I paired my hot pink and navy combo with The Trouser by Seven For All Mankind and brown Reva’s. Cardigan from Old Navy, striped tank from Express, necklace from Bridier Baubles.
Thursday- I woke up way too late to put together a look. I did pull outfits for the week but I just wasn’t feeling wedges and the very dressy look that I had hanging up for Thursday. I quickly paired this comfy Old Navy top (they were on sale for $6 last time I checked) with Gap mint skinnies, Jessica Simpson flats and a Lia Sophia necklace. Maybe this wasn’t exactly Pinterest inspired, but I can assure you I wouldn’t have put these two pieces together prior to the challenge.
Friday- I had pinned this look from Erin’s blog a while back. I knew I had similar items and tried to pull off a similar look on Friday. Top from Old Navy, jeans from Express, Jessica Simpson flats, and a Lia Sophia necklace.
Saturday- This weekend we celebrated BK’s third birthday. I had originally planned to wear white skinnies but it was hot, so I changed into shorts a few minutes before the party started. You’ll notice that fun pink linen-blend shirt from Old Navy made another appearance this week. It’s such an easy and comfortable wear and I think I need a few more colors for my summer wardrobe. I paired the top with white Gap shorts and sandals.
Sunday- One of my favorite looks from this past week. This white eyelet dress was purchased for my bridal tea from White House Black Market. I love this dress so much and I’ll be sad if we ever have to part. I paired the dress with a coral colored cardigan from Gap and a bubble necklace. I also have on cute crochet wedges, but they didn’t make the selfie.
I’ll be linking up with Kristin again and continuing the challenge this week, you can still join in and show your favorite Pinterest inspired looks. Just use the hashtag #pinstyle13.

This is a great idea, plus I need to get out of my teacher clothes rut and this just might help:)

I absolutely LOVE seeing your pinstyle challenge pics on instagram!! I’m really considering doing it myself! You’ve done a great job finding good styles to match with, they’re simple, yet classy and well put together! I may not be able to do the link-up, but I think I’ll do the personal challenge to use some more of the clothes in my closet and have the opportunity to buy a few more “staple” items!

My favorite outfit is the pink shirt and white shorts…so cute!
Where did you buy Braylen’s birthday outfit from? It’s SO precious! My daughter turns 1 in June, so I am on the hunt for something similar to that. Is it a dress?
Thanks, girl!

Love the black crop pants, gray shirt with the black cropped cardigan and turq bubble necklace! I think I love it because I have all of those items in my closet! ๐ My favorite outfit of all though is the white eyelet dress! I have only a couple of items from White House Black Market and I cherish them, too!

as I’ve mentioned on your instagram, you look fantastic in all of your posts! I’m actually tempted to keep #pinstyling even after this 30 day challenge is up- because I am LOVING it. ๐
My favorite is the white dress, though…. thank and your outfit for BK’s party. ๐
