Yesterday, I rounded up another week of the PinStyle challenge (that’s #pinstyle13, if you’re following along on Instagram). I committed to the style challenge for the month of April in an effort to step outside of my comfort zone and break away from the rut of wearing the same things over and over. I never imagined I would actually enjoy the challenge as much as I have, I’m actually sad that next week I’ll be wrapping it up.
There’s still time to join in, the “rules” are simple:
- Pick an outfit from your Pinterest style board (or stalk your fashionable friends boards),
- Document yourself wearing it (selfies are fine, too!),
- Share your outfit on Instagram and Pinterest,
- Tag your photos with #pinstyle13 so we can follow along,
- Blog about the challenge next Monday and come back here to link up!
I just said that I’m attempting to break out of the rut, but I think I’ve worn this shirt every week. At least I’ve style it differently. The hot pink linen top is from Old Navy, the cream-colored skinnies are the Rock Star version from Old Navy, necklace from Very Jane, those shoes are canvas wedges with a bow, I have no idea where I bought them, maybe TJ Maxx?
Tuesday- More colored pants! This time in the form of linen trouser-style. I picked these up a few weeks back at a local boutique, That’s Hot, paired them with a basic black top from Gap, Lia Sophia necklace, and a chunky bangle. These pants are fantastic, it was almost like wearing pajama pants, they are so comfortable.
Wednesday- Maybe I cheated a bit on Wednesday. I bought this shirt when I was purchasing the pants pictured above and I’ve wanted to wear it throughout the challenge. I searched Pinterest for a “crochet” shirt and this is the best I could come up with. Crochet top and black linen pants from That’s Hot.
Thursday- In reality, I wish I had these two pieces in my closet, instead I drew inspiration from the cobalt and yellow color scheme. Striped cobalt top from Old Navy paired with a Gap cardigan, Very Jane necklace, and the Gap skinny pant in black.
Saturday- Possibly my favorite outfit of the week. That Ella Madison sheer polka-dot top is making another appearance paired with white Rock Star skinnies from Old Navy, layered with a nude-colored tank from Gap. It matched the spring weather just perfectly.
Sunday- I saw this picture featuring a color-block dress with a Peter Pan collar and knew this would be an easy style to pull off. This is the dress I bought for Easter and a ponytail makes a rare appearance.

Loving your Pin style posts! I have those Rock Star skinnies in white from Old Navy and I lovelovelove them! They look great on you! I really need to get a couple bubble necklaces, they are still so popular and I have yet to get one! Did just purchase a tear drop necklace, tho! ๐

Thank you! I know, now I need a teardrop necklace. Apparently they aren’t going anywhere, anytime soon!

Do the skinnies from ON have some stretch in them? My ON jeans fit perfectly for about 5 minutes and then get so saggy! I’m about ready to give up on them.

I love the skinnies, however, I don’t buy any of their other jeans. I could never find a great fit. I find that the skinnies don’t stretch bad at all. My Gap skinnies are actually bad about this. These have a ton of stretch but they seem to fit snug throughout the day.
