It’s Monday and would you believe we only have three Monday’s left in this school year? I need to catch-up in a major way, so you get my random thoughts on this Monday morning:
- I’m back on the home decorating train. Literally, full speed ahead. What does this really mean? I’ve handed off a list of projects to Allen. The list is quite impressive and includes things like board and batten, ladder shelves, and an extended deck with build in seating. I’m giving him a few more weeks to put the finishing touches on the play set and then we’re pressing on. Don’t let that list make you tired for him, he’s elated to be building things and keeping me out of Pottery Barn.
- BK and I enjoyed a day at the McWane Science Center on Friday. She had the best time digging for fossils, playing with bubbles, petting the sting-rays, and partaking in the hands-on science fun. We watched an Imax movie about butterflies and she was enamored by the bright colors and colossal screen. We met Allen for dinner and frozen yogurt on the way home and did a little shoe shopping. We had the best day.
- Y’all gave me some of the best questions to answer (you can go here, if you have a question). I have an answers post scheduled for later in the week and a few others that I thought deserved their own post coming up as well.
- Last week, I had my hair done since it was a little overdue. I took a little off the length, because those ends weren’t too healthy and the fresh color is just what I needed.
- I bought a great pair of wedges from Just Fab for only $19.95 this morning. You can sign up here and your first purchase is only $19.95 with free shipping.
- BK is such a ham these days. She wants to spell everything, so I feel like I’m spelling words 75% of the day. The crazy thing is, she actually remembers the words we are teaching her. I need a memory like that, stat.
- We actually had a pretty low-key weekend. Allen worked on the play set. I’m not sure if I’ve introduced you to his latest project. He wouldn’t buy one of the sets from Home Depot, instead he bought the wood and built this one himself. The ground will be covered with rock on one side and sand on the other. For lunch on Saturday we went to the lake to eat with my papaw for his birthday. Of course, BK was in the middle of the action.
- Come back tomorrow and link-up for another day of the Build ‘Em Up series. I can’t wait to read what you have to say!
- With Google Reader coming to an end soon, I’m trying to make sure all of my reads are in Blog Lovin’, are we following each other? Leave me a comment if you’re signed up for Blog Lovin’ so I can make sure we are!

I’ve always wanted to be a blonde, but am too chicken. Plus I think my personality is brunette:) The Science Center looks so fun! We use to live close to one in Shreveport and I just loved it, even without kiddos.

BK will totally love her playset, it’s incredible! We just got one for our little guy for his birthday (which I’m pretty sure is the same day as BK’s!) and every day he asks to go swing ๐ Heading over to ask a question on your “ask me anything” post! Oh, and wonderful post on Courtney DeFoe, too!
