Today, I’m answering the question about my makeup must-have’s. I did a post here about my makeup bag, but my makeup bag changes from time to time and I have some new products that I absolutely love. Let’s take a look at my top 10 makeup and beauty list.
- Olay Complete Normal All Day UV Moisture Cream I might need to have a question and answer session with you guys about your favorite moisturizers and how you care for your skin. My skincare routine is extremely basic and involves Clinique face wash and moisturizer at night and Oil of Olay moisturizer in the morning. I will say that I love this moisturizer. It’s cheap, it goes on great and has SPF for added sun protection.
- – I love this combo. Well Rested by Bare Minerals is one of the best concealers I’ve ever tried, I actually put it on after my foundation. Then, the Bisque concealer is great to use on the days that I really need to hide something. It has lasted for months and is well worth the price.
- Urban Decay Naked Palette– I was late to jump on this band wagon, but I’m glad I finally did. I was gifted this set for Christmas and have used it since and haven’t put a dent in the colors. For the amount of makeup and the quality, it can’t be beat. Also, the primer that comes with it is worth it’s weight in gold. No creases, no smudges, and the makeup lasts all day.
- Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Makeup– I recently switched from Laura Mercier mineral powder to Urban Decay Naked liquid makeup. The Ulta salesperson raved about it when I went to pick up some eyeliner, convinced me to try it, and I walked away with this in hand. The coverage is impeccable and I get so many questions and compliments regarding my makeup since the switch.
- Mary Kay Foundation Primer I’m not applying makeup multiple times per day. It happens in the morning and that’s it (unless, it’s a big date night or something of that variety). This primer is my ticket to my makeup staying on all day, it goes on smooth and weightless.
- Mary Kay Mineral Bronzing Powder in Desert Sun I did a BlogHer review and fell in love with the mineral colors from Mary Kay, I use this bronzer in Desert Sun to create the illusion of a sun-kissed color.
- Mary Kay Shy Blush Mineral Cheek Color Another one of my favorites from the Mary Kay mineral color line. This shade gives me the perfect hint of color.
- Maybelline New York The Falsies I used to swear by expensive mascara, but once I tried Falsies, I fell in love with the product and the price. It’s a great drug store brand and my new favorite when it comes to mascara.
- Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner Black I tried this brand of eye liner because it came in my Birchbox several months back. It was actually the first time I have used liquid eyeliner. Now, I’m not sure if I could go back. The skinny tip makes application easy and it lasts all day without smudging or smearing.
- elf Studio High Definition Loose Face Powder I switched from Mineral Veil by Bare Minerals to this cheap version by elf. To me, it works the same. I just dust it on my face after I finish putting on my makeup.
Wow! That seems like a ton of makeup. If I’m home or just running errands, I have some Mary Kay mineral powder that I use. I just put a little on along with some bronzer and I’m good to go. Otherwise, I use the Urban Decay liquid makeup, then add blush/bronzer, then set it with the elf translucent powder. It takes me about 5 minutes to put my makeup on, I’m not technical with the application and I usually just mix random colors when it comes to eyeshadow.
I’m not picky when it comes to which products I use or whether they are high-end or drugstore brands, I simply want them product to work well with my skin >and last throughout the day.
Tell me, what are some of your makeup must-have’s? I just might be missing out on something great.

I never can find elf makeup, it is apparently hidden at our Target lol!

elf has some great products! I am still learning to diversify my brands but I think like Mary Kay is clearly your #1 brand, mine is probably Bobbi Brown?

I wish I could help with the whole skin care routine but my consists of pretty much the same. I wash with whatever facial scrub I have and moisturize. And all my stuff is Target brand!
But I do love my Garnier BB Cream!

I love my Naked palette…LOVE. I’ve been looking at the Naked foundation but wasn’t sure about the coverage. Normally, only the higher end foundations work for me (I do love me some Make Up Forever!), but recently tried Revlon’s Colorstay Whipped foundation and it is AMAZING!! Does not break me out at all and looks flawless without being heavy…NYX also makes a great eye primer that is very comparable to the UD Primer Potion but much less expensive. I don’t know if you’ve tried the Color Tattoo (Revlon?) cream pots, but they also work great as primers…maybe even better than my MAC Paint Pots!
FYI: My husband hates Ulta and Sephora…for reasons that may be evident by now 🙂

I use less than 10 things every morning for my makeup routine. It is quite embarassing- I don’t do a lot in the way of makeup- and half of it is just for making my skin even toned and to help with my wrinkles! haha!
Hard Candy Primer- (from walmart!)
Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer
Clinique BB Cream
Clinique Almost Powder
Clinique Blush in Aglow
Generic Clinique Mascara that comes with free gifts
Free Clinique Shadow that comes with the free gift
Clinique Chubby Stick Lip Balm
and Nyx eyeliner.
on days where I do not wear any makeup- I just use Clean & Clear Daily Glow Moisturizer with SPF 15. (and this happens pretty often, too, I will admit!!)

I love liquid eyeliner but I just use Maybelline. I’m not super happy with it, but I’m scared to spend money on more expensive stuff! I use Mary Kay liquid foundation, and could really use some better coverage, but again I’m not sure I want to spend the money!
