Two posts in one day? That’s right. Five on Friday has become my attempt to update you on our week, what we’ve been up to or what we’re loving this week. I couldn’t pass up a chance to add a little random to your day. Once again, I’m linking up with Darci and friends (and you can too).
- Swim Lessons I am seriously in shock at how she is progressing. I had zero expectations when it came to swim lessons this year. I just had no clue what to expect, so I didn’t want to set them too high and walk away feeling like it was a waste. Most of all, I wanted it to be fun for her. We never did any mommy and me-type classes when she was younger. I didn’t feel like she needed any water readiness, between the lake and the pool, her love for water runs deep. Since she turned three right before the summer started, I thought it would be a good chance to let her get some one-on-one time with a swim instructor to see what she is really capable of in the water. Today will be our sixth class and she swam a little by herself yesterday while working on her streamline. She keeps her head under long enough to make me have a mild heart attack. We’ll finish up next week, right before our beach trip, and continue working on her skills during the trip.
- Crue Turns One {almost} It’s always a good week when is in town and we can get together a few times. Texas is far away, y’all! Crue has a birthday this month and we celebrated his day this week, while they were in town. Susannah did an amazing job and he had the cutest Dr. Seuss-themed birthday. Keep an eye on her blog, she might share some details. We even went home with a new pet, a goldfish named Princess Fish.
- Pure Barre Can you believe I’m still hanging in there? I’ve only missed three times this month, that’s crazy coming from someone who has never stuck to any exercise program in her entire life. I’m queen of the try it for a week or two and never go back. So this is a huge step for me.
- Watch Dog? Do y’all know I have a dog? I posted a picture of her on Instagram a month or so back and everyone informed that they didn’t even know I had a dog. Yikes. She sits on the landing of the steps most days and just waits for someone to bark at, she thinks she’s a watchdog, in an 8 pound dogs body. Braylen loves Coco, and they’re finally at a point to where they can get along with each other. Except when Braylen tries to give her a “berry tight hug.”
- StickyGram I am slightly obsessed with Sticky Gram’s. The ordering is a breeze, they make the cutest addition to my fridge and they ship super fast. It takes 9 to make a sheet so I have to practice a little restraint once I take 9 new photos that I love. You can try it and get $2 off with the code FRIEND3OX9, I think you’ll love them.

I love Stickygrams! I gave a bunch as stocking stuffers to grandparents and great grandparents last year. They were a big hit.

BK is so precious in her little swimmy….. and it sounds like she’s doing GREAT with swim lessons!! I’m thinking next spring / early summer is when I’ll start Jackson too (the same story as BK w/ regards to the water, so I’m hoping he catches on quickly!).
PS – you look so stinking cute with a baby boy on your hip!! ๐
Glad you joined us again for the link-up!
