I have about 20 minutes to put this post together before I need to finish getting ready and head out the door for work. I’m not promising perfection. The blog has been quiet for the last few days so I wanted to give you something today, and what better than Five on Friday?
1. I started a bible study on Wednesday of this week with a group of local women. Remember when I wrote that Build ’em Up post and admitted that I just haven’t found a group of women to join since we moved last year? Well, Kristin invited me to her Wednesday night group and I immediately agreed. It’s so funny how things work out, and I am so thankful for this sweet group and being able to study the Word with them each week. We’re doing a study on James by Beth Moore, and of course, Beth Moore has already rocked my world.
2. I’m itching to throw a game day party. This week won’t work because we’re actually going to the Auburn game (yes, I’m an Alabama fan, I’m also a really sweet wife). Our anniversary is Tuesday and I thought it would be a great time to get a few tickets and head to the Plains. But, I still want a football party, and I’ll make that happen sometime between now and the last week in November. How cute are these printables from Green Owl Crafts?
3. I’m border-line obsessed with making BK’s lunch each week, and possibly a little over the top. She loves it, I love it, everybody wins.
4. 4. We had on Tuesday night. Allen called me on my drive home from work and put in this request. We had to change the menu plan for it, but it is worth every single cheesy calorie.
5. We wrapped up our summer this past weekend with a quick trip to Orange Beach. We went with my family and had a great time, spending our days on the beach and our evenings eating seafood. I’m never ready for summer to be over, but if it has to be, then I’ll gladly pull out my boots and sweaters and await the aroma of pumpkin spice. Bring it on, fall!

Your lunches are the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!! I’m inspired! ๐ that James study is incredible, and those printables are too cute. And don’t get me started on spicy sausage pasta. So yummy!

So glad to hear about the study!! I’m looking forward to it and now I want those enchiladas you posted about ๐

I love Kevin & Amanda’s spicy sausage pasta. Soo good! I’m trying to plan for a game day party too! We had one last year and it was so much fun!
Jennifer says
So fun! Is it bad that I just want to plan one for the yummy food? ๐

That lunch is adorable! Stopping by from 5 on Friday!

Thank you!

Yay, for new Bible study friends!. I am so glad you came and had a great time. That pasta dish is on my list for next week and I seriously need to take some lunch advice from you — the girls had lunchables today. #epiclunchfail

It’s so good! Now, you can sub heavy cream for greek yogurt, use turkey sausage and make it a little healthier.

How precious is that lunch box?!! So creative!
Jennifer says
Thank you!

You deserve an award for BK’s lunch —- so fun and creative!! I think I told you that I attempted turkey roll-ups after seeing some in a photo you shared. Of course, that was the one thing Jackson didn’t eat in his lunch at school this week. Little stinker!! I tried them and LOVED them [but made them with cream cheese, so I tried not to eat too many – ha!].
Your Bible study group sounds wonderful … don’t you love when God orchestrates things like that just when you need it?! Beth Moore is amazing – anxious to hear more about the study!
Jennifer says
Oh my goodness! I love them with cream cheese. When I was pregnant I wanted turkey, cream cheese and pickle roll-ups every single day!

I’m looking for a biblestudy to do during the week as well. I got up with my local church and specifically suggested a week day study instead of Sunday night because I’m out of town too much on the weekends, but I ended up with a Sunday night one. I already can’t make it to the first 2 events they’re having ๐ I’m trying to trust that maybe God wanted me in this small group because I know I mentioned WHY I didn’t want a Sunday evening, but I still feel like I’m not connecting with any women in my area and I really need that (especially during the week since I’m searching for a job and I spend a lot of time at home… I need a reason to get out! haha) I love Beth Moore and her biblestudies and that one sounds like a great one! I may give it a try! Glad you’re already enjoying it, hope to hear more about it through your blog!
BK’s lunches are super adorable!! Can’t wait to see what y’all create throughout the year! ๐
Jennifer says
Oh no, I hope it works out for you. I know how hard it can be to get one that fits your schedule.
Amanda says
I wish I could find a Bible study group! Your lunches for the little one are cute! I love getting new ideas. Thanks for sharing. This is my first trip to your blog! Love it!
Jennifer says
Oh yay!! Glad to have you!!

OMG the lunches are so cute. Will you be my mom and make my lunch like that, too? Lol! Also, that sausage dish looks amazing!
Jennifer says
Ha! If I only made my own lunches, too! I can’t seem to get it together for myself.
Heather says
I actually started reading the book of James today. I’d love to do Beth Moore’s study on it though!
Jennifer says
It seems like it’s going to be great and it challenges you to memorize the entire book of James. I don’t know if I can do it, but I’m going to give it a try.
Laura says
That lunch! Precious! Almost makes me want a sandwich and I hate them! ๐
Jennifer says
Thank you and Uh! I know! I ate sandwiches so much that I don’t even want to think about eating them now for lunch.
Lauren says
Hey Jennifer,
Don’t comment often, but enjoy your blog! Would you do a post sometime about weight loss? You seem so disciplined. I want tips! ๐ thanks!
