It’s time for my favorite post of the week, the one in which I attempt to catch you up on what’s been going on around here. I’m linking up with a few fabulous ladies for Five On Friday.
1.College Football Love. Last weekend we headed to Auburn to watch the game. It was a last-minute anniversary gift to Allen and I felt like such a fantastic wife, since I’m a fan of our in-state rivals. I even bought a new scarf in navy and orange for the occasion. But, really I can’t complain. We had a great time and the atmosphere is Auburn is nearly unrivaled. We’ll definitely be making that trip another time or two this season.
And we stopped by Toomer’s for a huge cup of their delicious lemonade. Which just about made the whole trip.
2. More football fun. My favorite team has a huge game this weekend (Alabama is playing Texas A&M), so we’ll be heading to the lake for a shrimp boil on Saturday. I’m ready to bust out the dips, and I have all the ingredients for this yummy buffalo dip. What’s your favorite game day dip?
3. Chocolate Lava Cake This chocolate lava cake just about blew my mind. We went out to eat Tuesday night for our anniversary and I loved everything, but it was the chocolate lava cake that I’m still thinking about days later.
4. Squeezing in time at the Barre. I’m missing my everyday session at the bar since school started back. I just can’t make it my normal 6 days a week, so I try to squeeze in a date at the barre any change I get. This weekend things worked out perfect and I was able to go 3 days in a row. I’m ready for things to slow down a bit, I’m missing that daily burn.

I’ll be starting my job as an elementary school teacher soon and I am always wondering how I’m going to find time for everyday things like grocery shopping cooking dinner doing laundry and working out!! All while being a mama #1! I’m glad I’ve found your blog !

Ooh you must be doing Pure Barre?! There is a studio right next my house and I have never tried it. I just keep the usual gym but I want to give it a try. Also, I love your scarf in the first picture. Any anyone I know who is an Auburn fan are VERRRY passionate about that team. I bet the atmosphere was crazy.
