Yesterday was no fun. Braylen woke up not feeling well and I had to go to work. It’s always tough when I have to leave her when she feels bad. She didn’t feel any better throughout the day and into the night and by morning I was convinced that she was really sick. Turns out, I had Data Meetings today and getting off wasn’t a real option, but Allen was able to rearrange some things (and work his tail off) to get her to the doctor this afternoon.
And apparently she was feeling better.
And every test she took came back negative. Basically just sinus issues and possibly a touch of allergies. Not contagious, no need for antibiotics, and acting like she wasn’t sick anymore.
I left school a little early and met up with Allen and Braylen after the appointment. She was in great spirits and we stopped by my favorite place to grab dinner for tonight. At this point, maybe if I tell you we’re going to eat out every night, we’ll start eating at home. Because clearly, I haven’t cooked all week.
Braylen wanted to see the fish, so we hung out here for a little while. She told me that one fish was a boy. And his name?
Jesus.
She went to dance and made silly face with Sophie. I admit, maybe she fooled me. I thought she was really sick. I’m not fooled often, this is coming from the child who has only been to two sick visits. One ear infection and one false alarm ear infection, in her whole three years.
I ate that yummy dinner that we picked up earlier when we came home. Of course, I have more of that chicken salad for tomorrow.
And guess what tomorrow is? Early dismissal and the start of a three day holiday.
I would tell you why we’re out for three days, but you would laugh. I’ll save that for another day.
I’m off to watch Scandal and possibly organize the pantry, depending on how ambitious I’m feeling.

Gotta love those rushed doctor visits only to find out they are “feeling better” right after you leave ๐ Oh so wish we had a three day weekend for our system. Enjoy!!

It seems like the moment you even think about taking a child to the Dr. they miraculously get better!! Glad she’s feeling better and it was nothing serious!
