If you know me, you know I’m not really good at being still. I don’t really have “off” days, I don’t take naps, I don’t sit down much, I just love to go and do. So even though we penciled in an “off” day at Disney, I’m not sure that anyone really believed we’d take the day off and relax at the room. The pool was a little chilly, and Jud wasn’t a huge fan of the cold water, so we slept in on Wednesday and headed out for Magic Kingdom around lunchtime.
Judson stayed with Allen’s parents while we snuck out for a little fun with BK.
We hit all the high spots at Magic Kingdom, starting with meeting Tinker Bell and Mickey and ending up in Fantasy Land. Allen was cast as a knight in Enchanted Tales with Belle (a definite must), we rode the Teacups, Dumbo, The Barnstormer,
We used up most of our Fast Passes on whatever her little heart desired. A funny side note about BK’s hair. Her fairy godmother at Bippity Boppity Boutique told her that her hair style would probably last a couple of days. She woke up on Wednesday morning and gasp, Felt of her hair and said, mom, is my princess hair still there??
It was so much fun being able to spend a little one-on-one time with our girl. Everyone met us at Magic Kingdom before heading over to the Contemporary for dinner at Chef Mickey’s.
We were able to say hi to all of our favorites Minnie, Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy and Donald. BK asked them all for a dance.
By this time Jud had warmed up to the characters. He still fussed and made really mad faces when he saw them across the room, but when they came close he was happy to look at them in awe without crying.
I love the look on Jud’s face in this picture. Not impressed at all.
After dinner, BK and Jud went back to the room with my mom and Allen and I went to Epcot to see the fireworks. Hooray for a Disney date night!
We spent some time looking at everything Epcot has to offer, and when they closed we caught the monorail over to Magic Kingdom.
We ended the night riding a few rides at MK and grabbing nachos and cheese fries at Casey’s on Main Street while the fireworks and Electrical Parade were happening. We headed home to get some rest before Epcot, it was a nice “off” day, even if we didn’t stick to being “off” and park hopped more than we did all week.

Where do you usually stay at Disney? Do you switch it up or stay at the same place every visit? Also, what did you like/dislike about where you stayed? Planning our yearly October trip and thinking of switching our usually hotel. Thanks!

Hi!! We stayed at Caribbean Beach last time and Art of Animation this time. We switched to get a family suite to have more room. I loved this so much more! The suites are super close to the lobby/buses/food/pool and it was super convenient. The regular rooms are a little further out, but the resort is new and new is always good 🙂 I’ll share more about it on Monday!

Girl, I’m the same way! I can’t stand not doing anything. You will never see me just laying around! I’m always on the go, always have a million projects going on at once, always have eighteen million ideas swirling around in my noggin… and that’s the way I like it! ;o)
Y’all have a good weekend!

lol sounds not so very ‘off’ at all but oh so very fun. Love that you got to spend some time with just BK, then met up with everybody, then got to hang at Epcot and MK without kids. Best of all the worlds haha!
