Y’all, hear me when I say, you won’t meet a little boy who takes eating as seriously as Jud does. And I knew the smash cake would be a huge success. When Jud would devour his avocado and rub a little in his hair for good measure, I would look over at Allen and make some comment about how fun it would be to see him with his cake at his party.
Do you see the look on his face?
It didn’t take long for Jud to get acquainted with the cake, and he quickly realized these were not his normal roasted veggies.
I don’t know that I’ve laughed so hard, he was intense and deliberate and in the zone. You know, a lot like when someone gives me a giant piece of cake. Cake is serious business, friends.
With gooey icing filled hands and cake in his hair, he did his best to scrape all of the cake from the board.
The cake made him super excited. So he would wave his hands around, full of cake and icing, and send it flying over everyone standing nearby.
Towards the end, he got a little carried away and threw the cake over the side of the high chair. He looked over with the saddest eyes, and said bite? So Allen grabbed a back-up chocolate cupcake and let him have a little more fun.
It was seriously the greatest smash cake scene I’ve ever witnessed. Ever.
After the party, I was cleaning up the kitchen and BK walked in and with the most serious look on her face said, At my next party can I have that cake game like Jud had today?
