Who doesn’t love a three-day-weekend? Especially one that coincides with America’s birthday! We headed to the lake on Friday morning, trying to beat the crowds a bit. It worked and we spent most of the day skiing and hanging out on the water. We headed back to the lake house before the rain came and made it just in time before the storms started to roll in for the rest of the evening.
We spent the next morning at the lake, but not on the boat, it was way too crowded for the Fourth. We headed home around lunch to get ready for the rest of our day.
I just adore this picture of baby Jud waving his tiny flag.
Sometimes holidays are laid back and low key and other times we jump from place to place, saying hi to all of our favorites and eating delicious food at each stop. This holiday was the latter, it started at the lake and ended with fireworks at Allen’s parents house.
In between, we made a quick stop by our neighbors house for a fun Fourth party. Of course, I dressed us all in red, white and blue and wore my best flag shorts for the occasion. I think I might be too old for flag shorts, but not old enough to actually care.
After church on Sunday we spent a little time by the pool and I snuck in some Whole 30 prep.
I thought it would be a great idea to stick to a few other things for 30 days as well. Like working out and blogging. Blogging seems a little like which of these do not belong in this equation, but I really need to get back in the groove and document our days so it will be fun to throw in the mix.
I’m a day behind on blogging for 30 days, but I’ll make it up to ensure there are 30 posts on the blog between now and August 6th. As for the working out, I’m 2 for 2!

Girl, keep rocking those flag shorts! You totally pull them off! I would be wearing some, too, if I had them!
Looks like y’all had a great weekend! As always the babies are adorable. :o)
