I was recently introduced to Young Living essential oils. I’ll admit, I was pretty skeptical to begin with, I’ve seen post after post about the oils, but I’ve never been convinced enough to take the plunge. However, a sweet Young Living seller contacted me about trying a starter kit, and I must admit, I’m a little hooked! I even decided to purchase a starter kit and wanted to share how we’ve been using the oils:
Immunity – THIEVES is a unique blend said to help with immunity. With the germ filled places we go like school or shopping, and all of the sickness going around, we have been using this one frequently. I place this on the bottom of my children’s feet and I love to use this in our home diffuser after we’ve been around someone who might be sick or if I think any of us are getting sick.
Season changes/sneezy, itchy nose, watery eyes, etc. – Judson seems to be most prone to these things and this has helped so much for him. I love to diffuse a combination of Lemon, Lavender, and Peppermint. I love the natural remedy and even though the seasonal changes don’t affect us all like they do Jud, we’re all seeing benefits from minor seasonal irritants.
Trouble sleeping- LAVENDAR- I diffuse Lavender in the evenings for everyone to wind down. Honestly, I love this smell so much that I diffuse it in our bedroom at night.
Stress- STRESS AWAY- Don’t we call need a little Stress Away? It’s great for when I’m feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or when we need calming moment. A drop or two in water is also amazing!
Sore muscles- PANAWAY- This oil works wonders after the gym, I like to use a few drops in a hot bath.
Snoring- VALOR- I definitely let Allen in on this one, it helps us both get a restful nights sleep!
More than anything, I love the aromas diffusing in our home. It makes it smell lovely while helping us and doesn’t release toxic things in the air, it’s a fantastic new addition to our home.
There is an oil for just about every thing you can imagine. I love the ESSENTIAL OILS POCKET REFERENCE it details exactly what you can use the oils for and I was amazed at their many uses.
