I thought I would take a few months off from receiving my monthly boxes from Stitch Fix, but I sort of love them so much that I only lasted one month.
I have some awesome things to show you, but first, let’s review a little about Stitch Fix.
I need to preface this post by telling you that Im not in any way a fashion blogger. I love clothes. I love shoes. I love handbags and everything fashion related. But, me? I need a little direction. I dont instantly look at things and pair them together, and I certainly dont take enough fashion risks. When I heard about Stitch Fix I just knew it was exactly what I needed. You fill out a style profile, complete with tons of questions about your style, and size. Then, you schedule your fix and it comes straight to your door. What exactly do I mean by fix? Its a box put together by a stylist (based on your profile) and it includes 5 different items. You can also choose the pricing structure, by letting them know how much you like to spend on clothing and accessories, they’ll send you items within your price range only.
The initial cost of the box is $20, BUT you can use that $20 as a credit if you chose to keep at least one thing from the box. The box also comes with a prepaid postage envelope to ship back the things you dont like. So, free shipping and free returns, and you only lose the 20 bucks if you dont like a single thing in the box. The odds are in your favor, at least have always been. I’ve had over 20 boxes, and never sent everything back.
Some of my favorite things in my closet are from Stitch Fix and some of them I would have never chosen on my own. It has empowered me take risks and that is one of my favorite things. If you don’t get a great box to begin with, don’t fret. I always request the same stylist and by now she has my style down!
ONE — Chlo Lace Up Blouse — $58
I loved so much about this shirt, the pattern is fun and reminds me of one of my favorite brands, MUMU, the fit is fantastic and super comfortable, the length was just right. I’ll be honest and tell you that I have no clue how this needs to be washed, I typically try to limit the dry clean only items, but I’ll take my chances with this top!
Verdict? Keep!
TWO — Goldie Flare Jean — $88
Y’all!! The flare jean is totally a thing again?! I know, I know. It has been for a while, but I’ve been doing my very best to avoid a new pair. I feel like the switch from skinny jeans to flare is such a big difference that it looks so strange! However, I put this pair on and I was smitten from the beginning. I knew immediately these were coming to live in my closet.
Verdict? Keep!
THREE — Dinah Open Front Cardigan — $48
This cardigan gets major points for being comfy and cozy. That’s typically all it takes, because comfort is my jam. But, I have so many open front cardigans and the coloring in this particular one washed me out completely. I always feel like I should venture away from deep colors like plum and navy and gray, but then I try something on in a different color and automatically feel better about the abundance of dark in my closet.

FOUR — Shanon Mesh Detail V-Neck Top — $68
Speaking of dark, what about this black top? It has cute mesh detail the top. The length is great, the material is soft and it looks really polished. Do I need another black top? Probably not.
Verdict? Send back!
FIVE — Amber Calf-Hair Clutch — $48
This clutch is super cute and on point trend-wise, but after the KonMari method, I learned that purses and handbags were a big issue for me. I don’t like storing them and I typically stick with one purse for long periods of time and the others just take up space in my closet. All that to justify not keeping this cute little leopard number.

I love what you chose to keep! I need to get brave and purchase some flare jeans–it is just such a big departure from what I’ve been wearing the last couple of years. I have a 16 month old daughter and people keep telling me how on point her clothes are–she has a huge collection of flare jeans and pants. But hilariously they are hand me downs from our neighbor’s 9 year old daughter–if you hold onto something long enough, it comes back into fashion!

YES!! It was such a change for me to go with skinny jeans and now switching back… ๐ I guess we’ll be used to them again in no time! I don’t feel like that trend is going anywhere anytime soon.
