Before we went to Disney World, we took a list of foods we knew we wanted to eat again or try for the first time. We had purchased a dining plan, so we had plenty of food to eat during the week. We purchased and shared so many snacks, so we could taste an good variety of things. I didn’t follow Whole30 or Paleo at all while at Disney. I ate what I wanted the whole time, and it was glorious.
My mom and I compiled a list and checked things off throughout the week. Some things didn’t make our final cut, some things will be on heavy rotation. After eating our way around Disney, here’s my Disney World Food Bucket List (it’s a good one)!
ONE- Strawberries and Cream Macaroon Ice Cream Sandwich- Find it at Epcots LArtisan des Glaces (in France). I picked one of these out and we had devoured it in no time, there were two main things on our list from this stop, the other took the second spot on our list.
TWO- Pressed Brioche Ice Cream Sandwich at Epcots LArtisan des Glaces (in France). I can’t decide which one I actually liked better, this may win just because it was the perfect ratio of sweet and savory.
THREE- Cronut- Find it in Epcot’s refreshment port near Future World. This mix of a doughnut and a croissant is amazing! The layers are buttery and delicious. Hands down, this was one of my favorite things I ate all week. You can also get it a la mode with soft serve right on top.
FOUR- Mickey Head Ice Cream – Find them all over the parks at refreshment carts. This classic is a must have and the kids go crazy over them.
FIVE- Mickey Head pretzel- Find them at several of the parks, we picked this one up in FantasyLand near the Dumbo ride.
SIX- The nachos bar at Pecos Bill’s. Find it in Frontier Land in Magic Kingdom. Order nachos and pile on the toppings at the toppings bar. The toppings bar is enormous and fully stocked with all sorts of great things. Try the mini churros for dessert to round out this meal.
SEVEN- ‘Ohana Bread Pudding- Find it at Ohana at the Polynesian resort. Oh my goodness. Let me first say, this is probably my favorite sit down restaurant at Disney World. It is full of all sorts of amazing food, but the bread pudding at the end of the meal steals the show. With bananas foster sauce and homemade ice cream, you’ll want to eat the entire thing by yourself.
EIGHT- Pizza at Wolfgang Puck’s Express. Find it at Downtown Disney. This is one of the best uses of quick-service credit and the pizzas are fantastic. We grabbed a breakfast pizza this time on the way out!
NINE- The Gray Stuff. Find it at Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom. Don’t believe me? Ask the dishes!
TEN- Dole Whip. Find it at the Polynesian resort, Adventureland in Magic Kingdom, or the refreshment port at Epcot. Buy it everywhere you see it. Can you tell these aren’t in any particular order? This is a classic and so, so good!
ELEVEN- Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie- Find it in France (Epcot). Wow. We grabbed a variety of sandwiches and desserts and sat and ate them all. I would recommend the Croque Monsieur, quiche, Chocolate croissants, and Napoleon, but you can’t go wrong.
TWELVE- Confections Case under the big top. Find it in Fantasyland. Your kids will love that they can watch them make the sweets right before their eyes. Try a sample of cotton candy while they’re making and you’ll never look at cotton candy the same again. I love the chocolate peanut butter bites and the caramel apples are amazing, too! Jud chose a cookie as big as his head from a similar confections case in Downtown Disney.
Rounding out the list?
- Mickey Waffles. Find them on any buffet.
- Chocolate Dipped Fruit Kabobs. Find them in the confections case under the big top.
- Churros. Find them in the Storybook Circus cart in Fantasyl>and.
- Tempura-battered shrimp dipped in chili plum sauce with coconut-ginger rice. Find it at Yak and Yeti in Animal Kingdom.
- The Clock Strikes Twelve. Find it at Cinderella’s Royal Table.
- Chili Cheese Fries. Find them at Liberty Tree.
- Pot Roast Mac and Cheese. Find it at Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland.
I’ll share my favorite restaurants next time, but for now, I must know what needs to go on my list when we head back?

I agree with so many of these! You must try the French Onion Soup at Be Our Guest, the Carrot Cake Cookie at The Writer’s Stop in Hollywood Studios, Cinnamon Rolls at Gaston’s Tavern in MK, the caramel apples at Karamell Kuche in Epcot, and if you’re there during Food and Wine or Flower and Garden, any of the little treats in Epcot. Man, you’re making me want to go back! 🙂

You have several of my favorites on here (the bread pudding at Ohana may be one of the best desserts I’ve ever had!) and a few I need to try on my next trip! A couple of my other favorite snacks are the magic cookie bar at Wilderness Lodge and the chocolate-dipped, peanut butter chip-covered rice krispie Mickeys from the Main Street Bakery. SO good!

Great post! We’re heading there in October. We decided to skip the dining plan and live on dole whip and Mickey pretzels for the week. LOL! 🙂 Will have to add all of these things to our list as well.

I was really surprised by the lobster roll and homemade chips from Columbia Harbour House. It’s quick service and we loved it so much we went back the next day.

If there was a way for me to have a Mickey waffle for breakfast every morning I would be in heaven! Love this list 🙂
