Y’all! I can’t believe Kristin and I have been posting over on the Instagram account for 8 months now {find us here}. You know I tend to get bored with things pretty quickly, so for me to be so excited about this next round of Whole 30 speaks volumes about the changes I’ve seen this year. I have a better relationship with food than I’ve ever had, I’m not a slave to the scale anymore, and I feel so good! I know what foods make me feel horrible and I try to avoid them and I know I feel my absolute best when I’m eating whole foods.
Don’t you want to join the big group Whole 30 happening on September 5? Sure, it’s Labor Day, but if you’re going to start on a holiday, there isn’t a better option! Just grill all the things and make yourself a big fruit salad and you’ll be set. Be sure to follow along with the Whole 30 accounts on social media, because they are doing a fantastic job offering support and tips and delicious recipes.
My approach is a little different this time around, I did a ton of batch cooking from the and tried them as I went, there was nothing that I didn’t absolutely love! It may be a game changer to me, especially since my constant complaint about this lifestyle has been convenience. I don’t typically count macros while doing Whole 30, but I went ahead and added the macro counts just to be a little more conscious of what I was eating in terms of macronutrients.
Here’s the list of what I’m starting this round with, already made and in our freezer:
- Fiesta Breakfast Caserole
- Kale and Sausage Soup (Fed and Fit book)
- with Cilantro Lime Cauli-Rice
- Chicken Tikka Masala (my new favorite recipe, from the Fed and Fit book)
- Vegetable Soup (Fed and Fit book)
- Teriyaki Beef and Broccoli (Fed and Fit book)
- Buffalo Chicken Casserole
- Barbecue Chicken and Potato Casserole (Fed and Fit book)
- Chicken No-Tortilla Soup (Fed and Fit book)
You see so many from the book because I follow Cassy on Snapchat and she has froze all of the recipes (except for egg based dishes and salads) and she gives great tips. I know these are tried and true and felt good about freezing them since she’s already tried it with success!
And because is fantastic and super talented, she made a new set of printables!

Hey there! Ordered the book and want to try to make ahead. What size containers did you use? Did you freeze any full size of dishes for the family or portion it out and freeze?
Jennifer says
I used rectangular Glad containers and 12 oz deli containers.
