I took a little time off from Stitch Fix, but I was itching to get another box so I had one delivered this week. Just in case you aren’t familiar with Stitch Fix, it’s a styling service that delivers clothing tailored to your specific style and size (based on your input on a style profile) straight to your door. Try it on and keep what you want and send back the rest (you’ll get a pre-paid envelope to mail it back).
The initial cost of the box is $20, BUT you can use that $20 as a credit if you chose to keep at least one thing from the box. The box also comes with a prepaid postage envelope to ship back the things you dont like. You can adjust your price range to stay in budget, too! So, free shipping and free returns, and you only lose the 20 bucks if you dont like a single thing in the box. The odds are in your favor!
Let’s talk about my current Stitch Fix box for today’s Wardrobe Wednesday, shall we?
ONE- Kaelyn Laser Cut Two-Tone Reversible Tote $68 I don’t have a ton to say about this bag, It wasn’t my favorite and I don’t think it fits my style at all. I immediately knew it wasn’t something I would be keeping so it was never even something I contemplated.
TWO- Benter Mixed Material Top – $58 You know I love a good floral print, and these long sleeves actually made me a little excited about fall. Don’t worry, I’m not wishing what’s left of summer away by any means. I probably would have kept this top, even though the price is a little more than I want to spend on this type of top, but I didn’t love the band at the bottom. I feel like I would be fidgeting with the band and I just didn’t love the overall fit. It’s going back.
THREE- Ellie Printed 3/4 Sleeve Blouse $48- I feel like I have several printed tops like this in my closet, but I really like the overall fit of this top. Since I already used $20 to get the fix, another $28 seemed okay for this top. It stayed in my closet, I think I might pull it out for game days this fall with some red jewelry.
FOUR- Liza Distressed Skinny Jean – $98 Okay, I really love these jeans, except I needed them in a size bigger. I probably would have kept them had they fit a little better, but I was a little worried about the distressed spot on the knee, it seems like it has the potential to get bigger over time. I loved most that they hit at just the right spot at my ankles, it’s hard to find a good pair of skinnies that don’t need to be hemmed, but I had to pass on these.
FIVE- Ellson One Pocket Top $148 Here’s a funny thing about this top, when I took it out of the box, it looked like the one piece I was going to keep. It’s incredibly soft and the green is perfect for fall, it would be an excellent staple piece in my fall wardrobe. And then I saw the price tag. Obviously my price range is not set this high, so it definitely went back!
Overall I liked this Stitch Fix, even though I only kept one piece, I think it was a great time to restart my monthly fixes and add a few fall pieces to my wardrobe.
