Halloween is so much fun to me! You get to dress up and eat candy and right in the midst of fall and bonfires and hay rides. Isn’t it just the best? We always had fun with Halloween, but when Judson came along and we entered the world of sibling Halloween costumes, I loved it even more!
This is only our third year for coordinating costumes, but before we get into this year, let’s take a look at the past two years.
Elsa and Olaf- This was the year of Frozen mania. That actually is still the case at our house, but this is the year Frozen came out and it was super popular. I think there were 8 Elsa’s in BK’s dance class that year at the Halloween party. She was insistent, and there was no swaying her. Since Jud was a baby, we just bought a white one piece suit and I decorated it with felt buttons and arms. Easiest costume ever. I ordered that cute crochet hat from Etsy.

Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf
Last year Judson dressed the part of the wolf and Braylen went as Little Red Riding Hood. These costumes were some of my favorites, even though Judson wasn’t too thrilled about wearing the wolf hood for very long.

This year, we’ve narrowed it down to a few choices and I’m really just wondering if we can get away with dressing up as two different things this year? They’ll only let me get away with this for so long and I know we have at least 3 places to be in costume. Seems logical, right? No?
Alice and The White Rabbit – You could really do a whole family of from Alice In Wonderland. I’m not a huge fan of dressing up, but the characters are endless if you want to make this a family affair. I thought this Alice costume would be perfect, and how precious is that White Rabbit costume from Etsy. It looks so comfortable and cozy, too!
Dorothy and The Scarecrow (or any other character from the Wizard of Oz) – I love the idea of Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and all the possibilities that go along with it! A lion or the Tin Man or the scarecrow! I think a little boy in a homemade scarecrow costume would be the cutest thing ever! Little overalls and a flannel shirt and a couple of accessories and we’re all set. Plus, BK jumped at the chance to wear red glittery shoes!
What about you? What do your Halloween costume plans look like this year?

I love matching sibling costumes. 1st Halloween of 3 we did clark kent, superman and supergirl. The next year we did anna(princess), knight and a dragon. And last year we did Doc McStuffins and her toys Chilly and Stuffy. This year my daughter is leaning toward Sheriff Callie and since we have the costume I am not going to say no! The boys will be the deputy and cactus friend from the show!

I love matching costumes too! My babies were also Elsa and Olaf that year (I think we may have had the same Olaf hat). They were Little Bo Peep and her Sheep another year and were Super Hero girls last year. This year they are being Alice and the Cheshire cat. Great minds must think alike!
