Let’s say we catch-up on 2016 with a quickness so the blog can actually be in real-time in 2017.
Oh, November. You were good to us. With your beautiful weather (except for that whole drought thing) and your sunny days.
Tucker nearly doubled in size from this picture at the beginning of the month to the picture you’ll see towards the end of the month.
Our friends at Halo sent us a fun bucket with cool crafts and fun activities. The best part? A taste of the seasons first harvest of Halo’s. We go through at least two bags of these each week, so we were thrilled to have a few delivered right to our door. I love that they are easier to peel, so I don’t spend a ton of time and frustration peeling fruit. Healthy and convenient… wait, do those words go together?
At The Movies came to Highlands and everyone loved this series!
I turned 30! Whoa! I’m super excited for this next decade and all of the fun it is sure to bring. Allen and some of my best friends surprised me with dinner, it was such a great night!
Judson had his fall art show at school and performed a few songs on the stage. He was wild. Which seems like a big deal, but then everyone else was basically the same, so we all just laugh because soon they’ll be in the preschool class and standing in straight lines and then going to kindergarten. And we’ll be wishing they were wild 2 year olds running around on stage.
Of course, Nonna came and he loved showing her all of the fun things he made.
We celebrated Swayze’s birthday earlier in the month, but Sus got these pictures back around this time and it’s showing up chronologically so we’ll just go with it, just four best friends with our four best girls. Couldn’t love this picture more if I tried.
Then there was Thanksgiving. Isn’t it the best holiday? All of my favorite food with no pressure. We have everyone over to our house. Both of our families over (and whoever else wants to show up, because you truly never know and we love it that way), so our house is full and it never disapoints. And the leaf pile is Allen’s favorite tradition.
After Thanksgiving, we quickly pull out the Christmas decor. I made some festive wreaths for our front doors. I made them because I was convinced Hobby Lobby was charging me way too much, but goodness, that was work! At least now we have them and we won’t have to repeat that for next year.
And didn’t I tell you Tucker is getting bigger?
I accompanied Braylen on a field trip to childrens theater. I can’t get enough one-on-one time with this girl!
And then we welcomed Lucy on the last night of November. She showed up with Advent calendars. Braylen loved opening hers every day to count down the days until Christmas. Judson opened all of the boxes on the second day while I wasn’t looking. Age appropriate for one, not at all for the other.
And that was basically November. We had a ton of fun and kicked off our holiday season right!
Let’s meet here again tomorrow night and recap December. Spoiler alert: We bought a new cooktop, because I blew up the other one.
