Happy Tuesday, friends! I have a few edits to do on the photos from BK’s Fairy Party, so I hope to have that up for you tomorrow, but we’re also in the middle of getting ready for Jud’s dinosaur party, so I can’t make any real promises. One day I’m going to shock you and get back to regular blogging like it used to be. Fingers crossed that this is the week.
I did want to pop in and give you a little weekend recap. We had one of the best weekends and I actually snapped some pictures for a blog post! I definitely want to start doing some type of weekend/weekly recap on the blog again!
Let’s take it back to Thursday night because BK had an art show at her school and she brought this framed beauty home. The title? Princess Monster. We think it’s pretty awesome!
I can’t even tell you how many people told us about the Dinosaurs Unleashed exhibit coming to Birmingham this weekend. Jud’s love for dinosaurs is unmatched and every one knows it! We woke up early to head to the exhibit to avoid the crowds (and not spend our entire Saturday there).
His dino-loving heart was on cloud nine!
And there was dino-face painting! I mean is there anything better than a t-rex on the side of your face?
We saw plenty of dino’s and BK read us all the facts about them. It was such a fun Saturday morning adventure.
And I mean, seriously, how cute are these two??
Allen started a big project the week before Easter and started replacing the decking boards on our back deck. He did most of the project that week, but finished up the railing the next week, and this week he has worked on some finishing touches. He even added an extra set of stairs off one side.
Since Allen was working hard, I attempted the grill (sorry about the burnt burgers). Did I mention the day was beautiful? Summer weather calls for summer foods, am I right?
We’re all over the place in the project department, so when it was too dark to work outside, we came in and finished a little desk project in the playroom. Allen brought home the prettiest blue limestone. I have a tutorial for the magnetic board planned for you, it’s one of my favorites.
BK went straight to the desk to work as soon as she woke up on Sunday morning.
After church we headed to a wedding. I only have one picture because it was raining so hard, but the wedding moved inside the barn and everything turned out just fine despite the rain.
Afterwards, we grabbeda burger with the Vanzants before ending our weekend and getting back into our school-week routine. Only 18 more days of school, thank goodness! We’re ready to be obligation-free from 8-3 and have some summer fun!
