It’s back! The Daily Dime for July is here today. The Daily Dime is all about a day in your life, take ten photos throughout the day then come back to link-up with us! These are really my favorite posts to read on other blogs, and I love documenting our life during different seasons.

Last month, I documented a random Monday in June. I thought I would switch it up a bit this time and document a Saturday on the lake. It’s our favorite place to be in the summer, so it’s only fitting that we highlight a day on the lake. There won’t be many references to time, because you don’t really stick to a schedule on the lake.

First things first, we sleep in and I definitely don’t work out. I try to squeeze in 5 workouts a week, so if I can drag myself out of bed for the 5:15 Orange Theory class Monday-Friday, I’m free to do my own thing on Saturday and Sunday. Plus, we ski at the lake and that is a huge workout in itself.

We hopped in the boat and went to grab breakfast before heading out on the lake for a little fun. Food first, that’s my motto!

Allen and I skied a bit. This was my first time to ski all year, but it’s one of those things you don’t lose once you learn. I love to slalom, I never actually learned how to ski on two, I’m sure I could, but I learned on one and have been doing it that way since.

And then Allen and my brother, Chase decided to jump off this rock. Which makes me think about how Judson wants to jump off of everything he sees… is this something boys never outgrow?

And can we talk about this pretty girl and the rainbow that absolutely made her day?

And there is always, always a good boat nap for this guy!

After we had sufficiently worn ourselves out on the water with plenty of swimming and sking and boat riding, we headed over to grab some lunch. I had a burger, but how good does Allen’s lunch look?

And the highlight of this lunch was this kitten. Y’all. This was the tiniest kitten ever. I wanted to take this guy home with me, but it wasn’t really mine to take and I’m not really a cat person. Except for that one time I took in a stray cat and then she hurt her leg and had to have surgery. And said surgery cost us all the money. Literally. Most expensive once-homeless-cat in all the land.

Moving along, can we just take a moment to appreciate those curls?

We spent a few more hours out on the water after lunch.

We came back and I did a tiny bit of reading.

And then played card games for way too long. Speaking of card games, have you ever played Golf? We were just introduced to it this weekend and spent hours Friday and Saturday night playing.  I would try to explain it to you, but this will do a better job.
