hello, is this thing still on?

Long time, no post!

No, really.

Like the longest hiatus ever.

I didn’t think it had been FOUR months until I just looked back at the last post! Four whole months.

Can I tell you I’ve been super busy? Like started a new business that took over my life like a whirlwind and I’m finally coming back up for air?

Mid-September, I started a fun little side hobby, Trilogy Threads (you can click there and join, if you’re interested). And it was just meant to be that, a little side gig. A couple of friends and I set out to bring great threads at affordable prices and what we meant to be something fun on the side, grew rather quickly (and we’ve been having so much fun). We experienced major growing pains in the beginning, but found a great space and some great help, we’re finding a rhythm and regular hours and I’m finally coming back up for air.

I’ve missed a ton these past few months, September – December feels like a blur. I should tell you amazing my husband was when he encouraged me to push through 18 hour work days and packed lunches and folded laundry and basically did all the things I neglected. I think I slept more in January than the four previous months combined, and it was bliss.

But I’ve missed blogging a bit. Not the kind of blogging I was doing. Those sponsored posts were great, I always loved what I was telling you about, but I didn’t always love writing them. So we’re going to change things up a little, no more ads, no more sponsored posts. Just blogging about my favorite things and recipes and our family adventures. I love this blog so much more when it’s a product of what we love and who we are and our stories and adventures. And it feels so refreshing for it to go back to a blog and no longer be a business.

So there it is, I’m most likely catch up with where we left out, recap the days we missed and then we’ll be back to blogging as it used to be.
