We recently went on our annual beach vacation to the white sandy shores of Gulf Shores. I’ll recap that later, but while I had some of my favorites in a folder on my desktop, I thought I’d go ahead and add them to the blog.
We met up with Kamin from Spark and Arrow for the second year in a row. We’ve been having our family photos made at the beach for the past six years. Professional photos are one of my favorite things to invest in for our family, so we try to get in a few sessions throughout the year. Thankfully, Allen is a good sport and doesn’t mind.
Let’s start with my favorite, hands-down. These two have quite the bond. I always worried that their age gap (nearly 4 years) would make it hard for them to relate to each other, but they are seriously the best of friends. He adores her and she is always looking out for him and trying to teach him something new.
I was super surprised to see us all smiling at the camera, especially real smiles. I promise I felt anything but put together that day.
I can’t tell you how special these photos are to me, they will be out last as a family of four. Things will look a little different next time we take family portraits. And while I’m so excited to welcome our newest addition, I spend so much time praying that I’ll be able to split my time and attention in all the right ways.
I’ll touch on it more later and really try to put this pregnancy into words, but with just about 9 weeks to go, I’m just so thankful for these days as we count down the arrival of our next little one. It took a while to get over the shock of a third in the middle of chaotic time in our life, but I feel like we’re finally settling in. I’m so thankful Kamin snapped a few maternity pictures as well. I’ll definitely cherish these for years to come!
