My girls trip to Texas was excellent. It was just what I needed and full of fun things like:
- Best Friends. I’m talking life-long best friends here. Paige, Rachel, and I flew out bright and early Thursday morning and Susannah picked us up from DFW. Rhianna happened to be in Dallas for work and met up with us for dinner at Javiers.
- Texas Rangers Baseball: Sus recently moved to Texas with her fiance Mitch, who plays for the Rangers (hence the reason for the trip to Texas). We had so much fun watching the Rangers play the Angels on Friday and Saturday nights.
And watching fireworks on the field after the game Friday night, which was such a neat experience.
- Food. Oh. My. Goodness. We ate so much good food. From Javier’s on Thursday night to garlic fries and smoked turkey legs at the field to milk and cookies at Sus and Mitch’s condo late at night. I’ll be back to eating healthy tomorrow but if there’s one thing I believe in it’s eating what you desire on vacation.
- And More. A trip to the spa, shopping, more shopping and lots of girl talk. It was the perfect trip before all of the wedding festivities begin and I am so happy it all worked out and we were all able to be together for this weekend.
Paige and I at the game Saturday night.
(L-R) Me, Rachel and Paige at dinner.
Susannah and I at dinner.
Of course, I missed my little family and I you can imagine how happy I was to see this sweet face at the airport today…
