day 14: sharing our everyday

I started out my Monday with the mindset that I should probably be making better choices food-wise, if I want to fit through the door at 40 weeks. So, I traded in my normal cereal for a Green Monster smoothie and it has been ALL I can think about today. If the kitchen wasn’t already clean, I would go make another before bed.

I stopped by my favorite local shop on my way home from work to pick up a few birthday presents and I was so happy to see Courtney’s scripture cards. I adore these ABC Scripture cards and BK loves her set. I also adore Courtney and her big heart for Jesus. If you’re local, swing by Chelsea Lane and pick up a set. They would make fantastic Christmas gifts.

Remember when I was going to cook this week? I mean, really, I had real plans to cook dinner for our crew. But, then our neighbors called and invited us over for dinner so I was off the hook. Allen was in charge of picking up the salad and toppings and he did not disappoint, he even came home with Olive Garden salad dressing. We have fantastic neighbors, you don’t know what you’re missing if you don’t have great neighbors. It’s so good, I think it should be criteria when searching for a home.

By the way, that leaf is on the counter because Braylen thinks she should bring people leaves when it’s their birthday. Chase received a handful this past weekend, and Audra ended up with an enormous one herself. Maybe she thinks it’s the equivalent of flowers.

I came home to a few fun packages, one almost completes the photo grouping on my new ledge shelves. I plan on ordering the pictures for the frames tomorrow, and the final two frames should be here this week. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Hope your week is off to a great start. Tomorrow is a long overdue visit to the salon for me, I have big plans to catch up on emails and do absolutely nothing different to my hair, except make the fact that I’m not a natural blonde a little less obvious.
