On Monday, we ventured over to Hollywood Studios. I knew we wanted to do the Toy Story Mania ride, but the Fast Passes were gone, quickly. So we just arrived when the park opened and headed straight over. It was the longest line of the whole trip, but it moved quickly and the kids stayed entertained.
We named Jud our official tour guide.
Since it was close to our lunch reservations, we just let the kids play a little while. They’re obsessed with the ducks and stood here and watched them for the longest time!
We had lunch at Hollywood and Vine with a few of our favorite Disney Junior characters. Jud wasn’t amused, but BK loved them all!
We caught a few more rides after lunch, like the Tower of Terror (even BK tagged along), Allen and I rode the roller coaster, while BK went with my mom to press pennies. Then, we headed over to see the Journey of the Little Mermaid before catching Disney Junior Live On Stage. It was probably Jud’s favorite.
Hollywood Studios is sort of Star Wars land these days. Seriously, so much Star Wars. I’ve never actually seen a Star Wars movie and I have zero idea what any of it means, so we didn’t venture into any Star Wars rides or attractions. I laughed about all of the Star Wars and told Allen this must be how people felt about Frozen taking over.
Speaking of Frozen, the Frozen Sing-A-Long is one of BK’s favorites. She sang so loudly the entire time, she was so into that when she hit a big note in the songs or sang really loud on a big part, she actually had the people around us clapping for her. And there were high-fives and compliments all around when walking out of the show. The teenage group beside us were the sweetest to her, so we handed off our extra Rider Switch Passes to them. They were thrilled, but not as thrilled as BK to have her own fan club.
And do you know how much I don’t love PDA? So Allen loves to put me in situations like this. I totally blurred out the older couple behind us.
Our dinning reservation came with Fantasmic passes, so we didn’t have to scope out good seats an hour in advance. We watched Beauty and The Beast Live on Stage (so good!), grabbed a bite to eat, and then headed for the fireworks. Fantastic is one of my favorite fireworks shows, and it’s always such a fun experience.

So fun!! I am loving reading your posts and they are making me want to go back right now. That photo at the end is hilarious and totally something Josh would do to me. ๐

We are actually skipping the Studios on our upcoming trip. We already don’t spend a full day there and that might be worse when it’s more Star Wars (I’ve never seen them either). Maybe the Toy Story Land will make up for that because I do love Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Toy Story Mania.

Love reading these posts! We’ll be at Disney in 2 weeks with our almost 2 year old. Love hearing about all the fun stuff that works for the kids…and your previous outfit post! I had to order the Kavu bag that you recommended!
