We’re still here, blogging about Disney, but I do have some good news. Tomorrow is the last day and we’ll be all caught up. Except for the kids birthdays and Easter and approximately one million other things we need to catch up on. Yikes. For now, let’s just go back to the happiest place on earth, Disney World, and specifically, Magic Kingdom.
I’m a big believer that you need two days in Magic Kingdom, for no other reason than there is so much to see and do and splitting it up gives us more time to cover more ground without feeling rushed.
Here’s my favorite tip for any of the Disney Parks, but especially Magic Kingdom, make early dining reservations. Like before the park opens (and it is completely worth the early wake-up call). You’ll see the parks from a different vantage point, without all of the crowds and chaos.
And of course, you’ll be able to snap some awesome photos!
Judson and Braylen had an amazing time running around while we were waiting on our dining reservation. It was probably some of the best moments we had the whole trip, and there wasn’t a single character or ride involved.
There was plenty of room to turn cartwheels in front of Main Street.
We headed over to The Crystal Palace for our dinning reservation and the food was delicious. It’s not your typical character buffet, I definitely find the food to be a step-up and the atmosphere is much more laid back.
Judson finally decided to warm-up to a character when he saw Piglet. And when I say warm-up, I mean he was comfortable enough to give Piglet a kiss or two.
We spent some time in Fantasyland and rode all of our favorites once or twice.
Or in the case of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, I think we rode it closer to 5 times. It’s hard to keep her away from a roller coaster.
We spent the rest of the day riding rides and we even hopped over to Epcot to purchase a dress for a surprise tea party for Braylen that I had planned for the next morning. We headed back over to Magic Kingdom for our dinner reservation at Be Our Guest. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is top-notch and everyone enjoyed the meal. Do try the gray stuff.
While eating dinner, I realized there was a Fast Pass open for the fireworks, and we hadn’t used our passes during the day. It just wasn’t ever crowded enough to need them. I quickly switched it on the app and we had great seats for the show.
The fireworks were just as amazing and magical as ever.
Since we were in a spot that wasn’t too crowded, we decided to hang out for a bit while the crowds dispersed. And the highlight of my entire trip happened right in front of me when I looked up to see BK dancing on her daddy’s shoes. Jud was melting down, the crowds were all around us, and I looked up to see the sweetest sight in the whole world. Sometimes, in the middle of life we get these sweet unexpected moments that absolutely feel like time is standing still, they will forever be my favorite moments and I’m certain I will never, ever forget them.
