I wanted to give you a full review of the Perfectly Princess Tea Party, because when I initially saw the price of this tea party, I immediately took to Google to see if others thought it was actually worth the price. Spoiler alert: It costs way more than you imagine you’ll spend on a tea party for a 5 year old. But if you know me, you know I always choose experiences over things, and I knew this would be an amazing experience for my princess-loving 5 year old.
And just like I like it to be: I. Was. Right.
The tea party takes place in the Garden View Tea Room at the Grand Floridian. It’s this beautiful room full of windows and the absolute perfect setting for a tea, they only have the tea party on certain days at 10:30.
We had secured an Aurora dress earlier in the week and set it out on Friday morning with a letter from Aurora asking Braylen to join her for tea. She was so giddy with excitement all morning.
Everything is set up so perfectly (of course, it’s Disney) when you arrive and the host, Miss Rose Petal (she’s a fairy) greets the girls and calls them one by one. She takes a picture with each girl, showers her with rose petals and gives her a crown.
Once inside, the girls find their place and an Aurora doll at the table.
Once seated, Miss Rose Petal asks the girls to open their napkins and a charm bracelet fell out into BK’s lap. This was pretty much Braylen’s face the entire time. She was smitten by the whole experience.
The kids were served apple juice in a tea pot, or a special apple tea, as they like to call it. My mom went along with us and we had tea and a delicious spread, too!
The food and tea were both delicious. Braylen’s sandwiches were heart shaped and I’m assuming delicious since she ate every single bite.
And did I mention there is cake? And not the kind of cake you find on the dessert bar at 1900 Park Fare, I’m talking about the best strawberry cake you ever put in your mouth. Oh. My. Goodness.
Miss Rose Petal does a fantastic job of entertaining with singing and dancing accompanied by a live piano, and even takes requests for Disney favorites. She tells her story, how she was once a rose, but the fairies turned her into a fairy. She teaches the girls songs with sign language, Hail to the King! Hail to the Queen! Hail to the Princess Aurora! As the children sing this song, Princess Aurora appears and everyone is amazed!
In the climactic part of the tea party, Aurora takes the girls around the room, while Rose Petal sings Once Upon A Dream and did I mention she can sing, like really sing!
Afterward Aurora walks around to each table (you get your own table) and brings a rose and card for each girl. She spends a good amount of time with them and engages in conversation and photos.
Bring your good camera for this one!
Once Aurora leaves, Miss Rose Petal comes around and talks to each girl and gives them a necklace, just like hers. The surprises just kept coming the whole tea party.
The tea party ends with a parade around the Grand Floridian, upstairs to the gift shop where they have a photo pass photographer set up to take pictures of each girl.
Y’all, hear me when I say, you won’t pay much more for this and it beats Bippity Boppity Boutique by a mile. The experience is amazing. If your child loves princesses and tea parties and her eyes light up when you tell her fairy tales, this is your ticket.
From beginning to end, we have zero complaints and would do it over again in a second.

Seriously, from what I can tell, it costs over $300 for 1 child and 1 adult to attend this. It just goes to show once again how overindulged children are today. That $300 would feed my entire family for a week!

Hi LeeAnn- I definitely don’t want this to be a debate, but I will say this was something we didn’t just flippantly do, we saved and planned for this trip. I would be more likely to consider it overindulging if I was taking her to extravagant tea parties on a regular basis, but this was a once in a lifetime experience, on our vacation Disney World.

Even if it is overindulging, if you have the means to do it, every little princess deserves this experience. Thank you so much for your review. I cannot wait to take my sweetness next April! ๐

Thank you for this review. I have 3 daughters and we have reservations already, but I just keep wondering if it will be worth the cost. I think they will love it. Just one question – how is the doll? In some pictures, the dolls look very pretty. In other people’s pictures, they look kinda cheap and not very pretty.
Jennifer says
I was impressed with the doll! I think they changed dolls a while back and I love the one they have now.

Thank you for this review!! Makes me feel so much better about spending the money. My two girls (2 & 3 yrs) LOVE princesses, especially Aurora. And tea parties. We always have our own at home and they will just be over the moon to share tea with Aurora. Love the pictures you posted!! Can’t wait to share this experience with them when we go in December! One question…I’m bringing my 2 1/2 yr old, but didn’t pay the extra to get double the gifts. I was just going to bring her a doll, anything else I should bring to avoid making her feel left out? A bracelet? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated!
Jennifer says
Yes!! I’ve heard of people doing that! Maybe a bracelet? They use the charm bracelets you can find at many of the stores around Disney, so you could pick it up during your trip. She may not even notice though at 2.5… I think the doll is the biggest thing ๐

Are the crowns and jewellery plastic ?
Jennifer says
Crowns, yes. Not the jewelry!

Hi,
Would a child of 8 be too old for this experience?
Jennifer says
I don’t think so!! There were older girls there who really enjoyed it!

I’m planning on taking my daughter when we go to DSW in April. Do you remember how long it lasted? It starts at 10:30am and I was wondering about that? I wanted to plan to do a half day at another park, but wasn’t sure what to expect!
Jennifer says
I think we allowed 2 hours? We met up with the boys at Animal Kingdom in time for lunch! ๐

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I nearly fainted when I paid for the tickets, thinking really??? But then I remembered my daughter is 4 and the next time we go to Disney she will probably be 8 and will not want to dress up as Princess Aurora and wear a Tiara with her Grandfather and Mommy. Where do you get the autograph books?
Thank you!
